Did you tell them what you drank? Did they take you to the emergency room or did they treat you themselves?
They called 911 and my mom described the syntomps. I vaguely remember confessing them i drank sodium nitrite. Honestly I was in such pain I didn't even notice the legal mishaps or whatever. My mom was a paramedic and said that ambulances are not taxis. The lady over the phone was checking on us every thirty minutes. And if I'm still here then she was right that my life wasn't in immediate danger, even thought it certainly felt that way in the moment.

That's exactly what she said. And you don't have to believe me if you want to. I don't need the attention, i barely post here anymore, look at my messages, i have cut my wrists before. I'm just here posting my own research about SN. For whatever's worth. Do your own research.

I'll just come out and say what everyone else is thinking. With all due respect, you're full of shit, OP. If your story was true, you'd be dead. So you're either a liar, or you have the worlds shittest parents and healthcare. Oh and whatever you ingested, if anything, was clearly not SN.

You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to scare and deceive the people here who are relying on this method.

@Mustkeyknow, I'm sorry you had this experience, which sounds like a highly individual response. Had you eaten or drunk anything before you took the SN?

I hope you'll take good care of yourself to give your body a chance to recover. Plenty of rest & water & healthy foods - you know the drill.

And please don't be offended that we have trouble with the details. You know yourself that your reaction was very unusual, and that what your doctor said about charcoal was inaccurate.

Shut up. I did my research and I'm posting what happened. SN is not as peaceful as people make it out to be. And yes I have shitty parents and shitty healthcare. As well as I'm living in a third world country. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to. And you should be ashamed of yourself for calling me a liar.

Thank you, I had some lentils and a coke like three hours prior. It was all very impulsive to be honest.

Yep, I'm pale as fuck and my fingertips are still a little bit blue. They were bluer in the morning though. And I feel like crap. Again, I took a sip, not the whole thing.

If they didn't know how much SN the op ingested how could they not admit him to the hospital, at least for psychiatric treatment? I'm sorry if healthcare is that bad in Mexico, that is really sad. They do treat SN poisoning with charcoal, but they also use other methods. I agree, the story seems strange, a coffee cup is way more than 50ml and I assume 3 spoonfuls is like 3 times the recommended amount. I'm sure it tasted awful and we don't know how many of the symptoms were exacerbated by the stress involved in the situation. Maybe it was horribly painful for this person, sorry you had to live through that, these experiences are subjective of course.

Here is a case of treatment for SN poisoning I found.

Case. We report a case of severe methemoglobinemia due to sodium nitrite poisoning. A 28-year-old man was brought to our emergency department because of transient loss of consciousness and cyanosis. He was immediately intubated and ventilated with 100% oxygen. A blood test revealed a methemoglobin level of 92.5%. Outcome. We treated the patient with gastric lavage, activated charcoal, and methylene blue (2 mg/kg) administered intravenously. Soon after receiving methylene blue, his cyanosis resolved and the methemoglobin level began to decrease. After relocation to the intensive care unit, his consciousness improved and he could recall ingesting approximately 15 g sodium nitrite about 1 hour before he was brought to our hospital. The patient was discharged on day 7 without neurologic impairment. Conclusion. Severe methemoglobinemia may be fatal. Therefore, accurate diagnosis of methemoglobinemia is very important so that treatment can be started as soon as possible.

Also honestly it was probably more than 50ml, I don't know about measure sizes so I just did a regular coffee cup

That is a minimum of 150ml.

I don't know, it was one of those doctors from a pharmacy. And I called my mom to dig deeper and she said the lady over the phone told her to keep on monitoring me, and that they were calling every 30 minutes to check on me. My mom described the symptoms and they said I wasn't in immediate danger.

You specifically said your mom called an ambulance, now you're saying it was a pharmacy doctor. I live in Mexico, I know the pharmacy doctor system. Unless your mom has a personal relationship with the doctor and called them, one has to show up and get a ticket from the pharmacy to present to the doctor in order to be seen, no phone appointments. And yes, those doctors are shitty, but if you are screaming and have turned blue or gray, they are not going to suggest charcoal or staying home. You said that your mom knew it was sodium nitrite -- doctors in Mexico are trained in the treatment for this toxin, and the pharmacy doctor would have looked up SN poisoning and treatment in their computer. They all have computers in the pharmacy doctor offices.

My mom called 911, and she was not granted an ambulance because the lady on the other side told her i was not in immediate danger. The lady was calling every 30 mins to check, according to my mom. And as for the pharmacy doctor, that wasn't last night, that was this morning, and she did know what SN was and told me about the charcoal. And no she didn't have a computer in her office.

because a large sip of 3 spoons worth of SN is still way over the lethal dose and theyre saying they did not recieve any medical treatment which is needed when you take a lethal dose of poison since it couldve been fatal, OP also gave out false information about the amount of water taken by over triple so its hard to believe anything theyve said so far

What pharmacy? You don't have to say the city.

Also, if your mom told 911 it was SN, they would be able to look up what treatment is needed and see it's lethal.

I actually don't know how much is 50ml is, I assumed it was a coffee cup. Which is what I did, a coffee cup. It turns out coffee cups are 150ml so yes I was wrong there. And it certainly felt very fatal, that's why I asked for help. How events unfolded later on was not up to me.

coffee mug has to be atleast around 300ml just so you know in future, if i were to believe everything you've said id put it down to panic and an extremely low pain tolerance, that or something was wrong with your SN otherwise there would be a shit ton more reports of this intense unbearable pain, no one said Sn comes without discomfort but this is overkill

Well it was extremely painful to me believe it or not. It was either too potent or lost its potency since I had it in the sun, it could be either way. I don't know. And yes i assume panic was part of it but there was a moment right after i took it where I felt calm, and i was like this isn't so bad. Then the pain started, and yes it was pretty bad. I cant be the only one reporting that.

Seriously, how many lovers do you try to juggle at one time with these kinds of games? :pfff:

Simi is one of the largest pharmacy chains in Mexico. There's no way this went down with the pharmacy doctor like you said and that they don't have computers.

I cant be the only one reporting that [the extreme pain].

You indeed are.

Look OP ate and drank coke 3 hours prior, they used more water, not by much but maybe 150ml.
a sip could be survived with food in the gastric system. And coke could affect nitrite? It literally cleans battery acid off of cables sooooo.. who knows.

taking a sip is not a serious ctb attempt. It's self harm or self pity and a cry for help. OP hope you can get help

alot of the reason why people are not believeing you is because yes, you are the only one reporting this sort of pain from taking SN, especially from such a small dose of it since plenty of people have tested small amounts before, the only account i recall having what seemed to be a more intense reaction was a member that appeared to have abdominal pains but honestly my periods seemed worse than that :pfff: so still it did not seem she was in unbearable pain like you claim to have been in, i cannot understand why SN would cause such intense pain only to you but no one else

Well, if anything I think this community is concerned about spreading misinformation more than anything else. It seems perfectly acceptable that members would question the op, especially considering we have few accounts describing the experience being like this. It's also acceptable to question this person considering how loose ended a lot of what this account is claiming. I think it is best to take an objective approach to the subject and not allow our emotions to get too involved. It seems like you have an agenda to discredit the legitimacy of using SN just as much as others might be blindly defending it. When it comes down to it, SN is poison, it isn't going to be a walk in the park and certainly won't taste like candy. Maybe the op had some unrealistic expectations as to how the experience would be.

I think it is important to be supportive of each other here, experimenting and learning what is best together.

When did you prepare the solution and when did you ingest it? Why did you intentionally proceed the way you did after all the research you did on this method? Did your body show signs of methemoglobinemia? How long after the ingestion did it take to show effects? You say you felt pain. Where? What sort of pain?
