The fact that we are here on SaSu means most of us are the weak/sensitive people of this World. Since capitalism and the Overall state of the World is only getting worse, we are just cooked guys. Hear me out. There won't be a time again for atleast like 200 years until all crashes down, so that we are forced to be in groups again to survive and thus are able to connect with eachother again, live like we are designed to be living. Conastantly with humans around us that care for us and that we care for, feeling connected in a sincere deep way that makes us feel seen. Sitting by the Fire together, singing, dancing... I believe it can be like that again but not in our life time. And before it will be like that again, there is 0% hope for us. I don't believe in a disbalance of the brain that causes depression, we were sold lies to buy pills and keep feeding the machine. Our bodys are just reacting to a hostile, inhuman World. Our depression and suicidality is a perfectly normal response to this fucked up World. Everyone goes to Therapy nowadays but i don't think Therapy helps with the fact that we are living in a way that is supposed to make us depressed. They push the Problem on the individual, "just do therapy", "just go to the gym"... thats just coping. Atleast i know now finally that the reason why i've been depressed all my life isn't only my own Fault. And since it won't get better any time soon, i don't even feel Bad anymore for the fact that i will take a shortcut out of whatever this World has become. Everyone that is not depressed, is the one who needs help.

Tldr: World Bad, me go ctb

Beautifully said, all things I've heard 100 times over from people who just don't want to acknowledge the real problems. Or don't want to see the bigger picture, because that would put to question the entire life they've been living, the system they've been encouraging, and that's too radical and unconventional, so it must be crazy talk.

I think you're likely right. I'm sure our modern lifestyles are making us miserable.

I wonder if it's impossible to find people who still live like that though. I imagine there must be groups of people out there living off grid. Obviously, you'd need to avoid anything that looks like a cult but, there must be places.

The bigger question I think is: Would you be trading your current problems for a new set? Could you live without the comforts you've grown used to? No electricity, no internet, no running water or sanitation. Could you work 8 hours in a field doing manual labour? Fetching water, building shelter?

Would you start to miss the way our societies do in fact look after us- without us really paying much attention? Imagine not having a proper flushing toilet. That no one came to pick up your rubbish. That there were no modern drugs if you became ill. I think people tend to have a romanticized view of what it would actually be like to live without our mod cons.

You're also assuming I guess that- everyone will pull their weight in the community. Why would it be so different to modern communities? Wouldn't there still be a criminal element, some people who want to hog all the power and order others about. Some who refuse to work- even though they can? Why would the group dynamics be any different? I just tend to wonder if it wouldn't end up being more of the same. Only without electricity and running water.

Yeah we could definanetly find a tribe somewhere that still lives that way. They always seem happy too, for example the tribes in deep jungles. They don't Look like they suffer everday or like they fake being happy. Some Interviewer once asked a guy from a jungle tribe "don't you want to go live with us in the big city" to which He replied "why would i want to live somewhere, where people jump from buildings?" Although i don't know if they would just accept a random depressed Person in their tribe.

Also, i don't want or need a Toilet, they are Bad for our health and the eco System. Our poop needs to go into the ground so the nutrients can get absorbed back into the earth and then back again into the plants we eat. Instead we burn our poop and just throw away the nutrients because it cant be used anyway anymore. Our poop is toxic nowadays because of medications and bad diet. Nowadays we have to Supplement the earth with chemicals before we can grow food instead of the natural way. I love pooping sitting down on the ground, it feels much better.
Also there is no rubbish in nature. Everything has it's purpose and is in an Infinitiv circle. The fact that we produce rubbish is not natural. Everything we do nowadays is just wrong and will ultimately lead to the downfall of this World we created. It simply isn't sustainable. Everything.

When you live in a tribe you don't work on a field for 8 hours. They just hunt for an hour Max, eat and then chill for the rest of the day, like lions. They already build strong shelters from natural materials that are naturally cooling when it's Hot. They really be chillin all day. Just watch some Interviews with tribes, they literally live a dream life and nothing from our comforts can compare with that. It's almost like they live in a Real life mmorpg. They wear cool skins, know how to use weapons and kill so that they can eat. They make fire and shit. Look at the beautiful night sky with all their friends every day. What do we do? Work, go home, scroll, sleep. Repeat until death. It's never supposed to be like that. It's sad what the World has become. If i could bomb all humans but let the tribes survive i'd totally do it. It would be the Best for everyone.

I don't want anything that modern society offers. Sure it's comfortable, but i would give everything away to live with a tribe in complete Harmony with nature. There is and will never be a thing modern society could offer me, that will be better than living a life that i was meant to live. A life 24/7 in nature, 24/7 with a group of people i trust and that trust me.
