people think life gets better the more you say yes to things. meet people, travel, make memories. what they don't get is what happens when your own mind won't let you have any of it.
someone just looks at you and your heart's already racing. some conversation that means nothing to anyone else, and my chest's still tight 30 mins later. everyone else is just living. i'm just trying to survive the room.
even watching tv shows reminds me of it. the social anxiety, the person i'll never get to be. someone who could just talk freely without worry :/ and under all that there's the depression flattening everything out too. i can't count how many times i've stood in a crowd, everyone laughing, and felt completely alone.
i want to connect with people but i'm also terrified of them. i want to enjoy life but the heaviness never actually goes away, it just follows me wherever i go next. some days it's like watching everyone else live through glass.
the beautiful moments are right there. that's the worst part. knowing that and still not being able to reach them.
i'm done fighting for a life that i don't even get to fully enjoy because of my messed up brain
