Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

This community has been so kind and supportive towards me throughout the years and everyone here has been a real friend to me. Outside of this community whenever I reached out nobody wanted to listen. My family constantly dismissed me and never wanted to listen for all the times I said I was depressed. The NHS is difficult to access for treatment so I gave up trying in the end. I dont have friends.

Everytime I came here people on Sanctioned Suicide made me feel safe to truly express how I feel about wanting to leave this world. Nobody here ever judged me. I always be grateful for that.

I just logged in right now and saw the warning which is Sanctioned Suicide will no longer be available to UK users from 1st July. I honestly dont know what I will do without Sanctioned Suicide because I am alone in the real world.

Yea this website has helped me too in being able to be listened by people who actually didn't mind me venting and the beliefs I had about suicide and also being useful to others here as well. NHS is honestly so terrible with how long wait times are for getting actual help from them.

You will still be able to access this website if you get a vpn. ProtonVPN is a free and the one I use and as this thread says, is trustworthy:

There is NO safe spaces for suicidial people to talk freely.

Online mental health spaces have strict rules on what you can or can't post. In addition online mental health spaces also have people who will hound you for having an opinion or perspective they dont like. I have experienced this in the past.
the best people on the planet are on sasu. that's a fact.
What I like about this forum is people here are real and not fake like other people on socal media platforms. Other mental health support spaces are is full of toxic positivity, holier than thou attitudes, privileged people who can access healthcare and have a caring supportive network. This effects how these people treat others.

Free speech is important, I'd say one of the most important things there are. Don't let anyone take that away from you.
I'm happy that you can still use the site!

@AnimeSlayersFan If I wasn't judged by people around me I wouldn't have ended up at Sanctioned Suicide. My family never listen to me and gulit trip me for being sick or depressed. This is why I don't reach out if I don't have health problems.I suffer from anoxeria and anxiety

Online mental health platforms there is too much censorship.

Yeah, I can relate, even therapy doesn't usually help much, they are kinda there to collect their cozy paychecks while saying "mhhmmm, mhmmmm, how does that make you feel? Why don't you talk about that " But they fold the second you say something deep like talking about suicide and then they go straight for the "oh maybe you need antidepressants or talk to a psychiatrist" Like excuse me???? Then WHY have I been in therapy for literally 3 years with you? For nothing? My last psychologist folded because I just stated fact after fact after the state of the world and my life, and now my new one seems to be going the same route, they don't have answers for nothing. Just a waste of money a lot of the time, sometimes you get a good insight, but it takes sooooo long, and it usually comes from yourself and not the therapist.
I'm still in therapy though, mostly cause I live with my mom under the condition that "I take my mental health seriously" I don't even know what she means by that.
