I am so stupid for falling in love with a 55 year old man

I can not believe I have been so stupid now I am going to lose everything. How the hell I am going to tell my family. All i wanted was to make my mother proud. I got a job in the same workplace she works in. Its a huge organisation, descent salary and I am only 25.

What I was I thinking falling in love with a man who is 5 years older than my mother. I thought he was a nice man but he is an two faced arsehole who has ruined my life. I confided in him sharing my vunlerablites and he knew I was already struggling with work. He goes and lies to me to my boss.

The management now believes I am this evil sick person and he is the victim.

my love for him has ruined my life. I have been humiliated, damaged my career and I have lost everything and will lose more

I fall in love easy too. It might be how brain is wired too lazy to ever read into it. Though very vulnerable to love bombing I think it is called. Sorry this happened to you, I guess 30 years is pushing it possibly but it's obviously not your fault. He knew what he was doing to you. Truthfully no idea how someone could do something that evil.

In retrospect, it appears it wasn't the smartest move. But, in actuality, we really don't have any control over who we fall in love with. if you're able, you need to ride out the pain, and let your feelings subside, and then try and move on, if possible. That's, basically, the recipe for getting over someone. You just have to ride it out, be sad for as long as it takes, and then start over. People have been doing it for as long as there have been people.

@MizzShadows the worst thing was I never my told my family the real age of the man I liked. Everyone in my household thought he was a man my age or a couple years older. I am seen as the good model well behaved daughter who wouldn't chase older men. I never thought I would fall in love with such a older man.

As time went on the more I saw him I no longer noticed his age anymore. I didn't care about the grey hairs on his head. All I saw was a regular person.

I get the family thing far too much. I don't know your family fox but they've lived a lifetime it's hard to see what 50s is when 25 but they may understand better than you think.

I don't want to put my kids or dogs thru pain. But I can't hardly stand this anxiety or existence
