  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

My university never ever makes clear thier tuition fees policy, admin keep inaccurate reccords and keep demanding money.

I got an email today from my university saying I need to pay over £8,000 by 31st January and if I don't I will lose my place.

At this point I have given up because I am tired of one thing after another going wrong all the time. Tommorrow my mum will talk to the university fianace department to explain how the figure is £8,000 when the university already approved of the payment plan my mum gave them when I enrolled..

I can't see this getting resolved.

If I lose my place I will actually kill myself because already I am unemployable because I got an enormous CV gap and overqualified for having a law undergraduate. I am just fed up of life.

I'm sorry this happened and I know the feeling when one thing after another seems to rain down hard. Perhaps your mom will have it sorted out and the uni will see they made a mistake. Hang in there.

I hope this gets sorted out for you. I can tell you now, university is not everything. Better to be the one who seeks knowledge over a degree. If you don't get in, have you considered looking at placements to grow your experience in your fields of interest and applying the following year once this is all sorted out? I suggest this as a late graduate myself. Graduated aged 32 after doing an apprenticeship.

@fallingtopieces The worst thing all my life my mum and grandmother helped all the relatives in the family with thier financial problems but NONE of these self centred relatives will lift a finger to help me when I need the help.

It's makes me so angry I have relatives that do have the means and resources to help but these people never ever help. My grandmother paid for her brother tuition fees when he went to university and he won't do the same for me. He never helps anyone in the family. I think of all the relatives my mum and grandmother helped and none of them came whenever my family needed help

I actually hate my relatives.

Just thinking out of the box. You literally cannot be overqualified for anything cause you can make up your cv. You think your education detracts from the job? just take it ouf from the cv.

About the gap, what I did in my cv was to widen the time i had been in other jobs. Maybe could even make up a job and say that you were working for your parents in their shop, or something basic like that. Obviously the made up jobs have to be non skilled or semi skilled to not raise questions.

All of this is useful even if you actually get into college. Just put in your cv what helps you.
