From Sunday I am going to start doing something I have been wanting to do for years.
And that is eating only plant based foods.
I adon't want to be a part of the animal food industry which is horrible and tortures innocent and helpless animals.
Now the only things that you cannot get from a vegan diet are B12 and Vitamin D.
Vitamin D is from the sun, and I live in a sunny climate.
And for B12 I will supplement with Solgar tablets once a week, 2000mcg.

You're welcome!
It's a very cool thing to make this decision b/c you are terrified by the death industry. This is what motivated me in going vegan, too.

I suppose you already know veganism does not kill anyone. (Severe eating disorders, or other reasons for malnourishment can kill you, but this is not the same as veganism.)

When it comes to B12, taking supplements is always a smart thing to do. Even animals cannot produce B12 - they take it from the soil/bacteria, in the death industry they are given supplements (!) And, there are many areas where non-vegans need to take their supplements too!

This is really a big undertaking.

I think it's quite feasible to eat a vegetarian diet.
But without eggs, milk, butter and cheese - that's really hard.

I am curious about your experiences and how you are doing with it.

I think it's all a matter of habit at the end of the day.
We are creatures of habit.
And I have researched this topic for a long time so I know exactly what I need to eat.
Things like quinoa, almonds, walnuts, peanut butter, broccoli, carrots, sesame seeds, lentils.
And orange juice for the vitamin c.

Best of luck! Make sure to keep taking the necessary supplements. Some days I forget mine and feel icky throughout the day.

I wish you the best with that. I could probably never be vegan, eggs and milk make up a big part of my diet. I do not eat that much meat though.

It's not that hard to eat vegan and it will most definitely not kill you. I go through long periods of vegan cooking, for no other reason than I like that kind of food.

Good luck with your new diet :-)

I've been vegan for 15 years - it was much more difficult back then as I do like my junk food. If you want, I can recommend the best vegan cheese, burgers, Cornetto's etc. Just let me know.

I didn't take b12 supplements for 14 years and I was ok. But I have started to take them recently - not that I've noticed a difference as yet.

Good luck.
