In all fairness, most of those cases, the individual didn't follow the guide closely (I.e. didn't have AEs, didn't fast, didn't ingest enough)
Moonicide's CTB was told by someone else that was able to hear what was going on. They were unconscious at that point, not feeling anything that was discomforting.
There's a lot of info that people may leave out when they try to recount in detail what they experienced during their CTB attempt.
It's not easy to CTB, if it were, we probably wouldn't all be here. I wish us all the peace we deserve
