• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Me and my partner are discussing ctb methods, and we came across hypothermia. We're planning on filling a bathtub with ice (about 50 pounds), drinking whatever alcohol we can get our hands on, and sitting in the tub together. Google says we should die within 15-45 minutes, but I'd rather have some actual human input on it. Would this even work out?

Probably not if you can get out of your enivronment, you have to be trapped I think. I was thinking how awesome it would be to climb everest and just die there at the top.

Yeah that won't work. People sit in ice baths for 15 minutes or longer routinely. You have to consider both of your body heat, room temperature, how long you'll be exposed as the ice's temperature raises and melts. Plus the SI alone, you would likely just get out of the tub

Hypothermia, especially without freezing of the heart and brain (which means cells of the heart and brain formed ice crystals), would slow metabolism which makes you last hours in cardiac arrest, someone survived cardiac arrest for 3-6 hours with a body core temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius), and most people with that body core temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius) has a survival chance of 40-60%, especially from extracorporeal rewarming technique, I'm not trying to prevent people from trying to CTB, I'm trying to say that the method would be unreliable.

Sounds like we need a Charitable event - "SaSu vs Everest", where people donate for Mental Health/Suicide awareness and we all just climb to die.
