• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

What is hypnosis?

- Hypnosis is essentially focused attention — getting so absorbed in something that everything else fades into the background.

- A book, movie, music or even a powerful story can influence our emotions — we know it isn't real, yet we still laugh, cry or feel heroic based on its mood. 😁

- Advertising uses similar principles: repetition, emotions, visuals, music and social proof to influence what we believe we need.

- Think of how brands associate products with everyday habits — repetition can turn a message into a behaviour.

*How does the mind learn*?

- "Conscious" and "subconscious" are models for understanding how the mind works, not separate physical parts.

- Our brain learns through:
*1. Visuals*
*2. Sound*
*3. Feelings / sensory experience*
*4. Repetition*
- That's why we remember movie scenes, song lyrics and childhood rhymes so easily.

*Can we "program" the mind?*

- Visualisation + repetition + emotion can strengthen mental associations and neural pathways.
-
- Imagine your desired future, rehearse it repeatedly, and connect it with strong positive emotion.

- Affirmations: repeatedly reinforce a desired belief.

- Scripting: write your goal as if you have already achieved it.

- You can even use music, images and videos to make the experience more immersive.

*And traditional hypnosis?*

- Relax your body, focus on your breathing and narrow your attention.
- Then visualise yourself performing the desired behaviour successfully.
*- For example, imagine yourself as a confident speaker → observe that version of yourself → mentally step into that role → rehearse the feeling and behaviour.*

The key idea:
Your brain is remarkably adaptable. What you repeatedly focus on, feel and practise can become easier and more automatic.

The useful part is the role of attention, expectation, rehearsal and behaviour.
