Discussion Humans aren't made to live this long

I don't believe we humans, or the vast majority of typical humans, are destined to live to adulthood and beyond.
I'm no expert, but speaking from experience, our memories are imperfect and our brain is too limited to ever be confident of the outcomes of our acts. We are born into a fictitious universe established by other humans before we were born and are brought up or brainwashed into a life outlook or personality by our circumstances and other variables beyond our control. Everything we come into contact with is created by other humans, who either consciously or unintentionally shape us into their own worldview.

So what will break first our society or the human psyche?

Nothing will change this. It has been this way for hundreds of years and this is how people planned the society to be like, brainwashing people and forcing people to do things, without their consent to the point that people agree with these inhumane views. Our brains aren't certain of the outcomes of everything that we do because we were also taught, at a young age that people will judge you, no matter what. There is no controlling what will happen next, it was already predicted and is already the reality.

I agree wholeheartedly with @Black_light on this. When you willingly show the world that you care more about your child living to adulthood than you do about the current state of society today, you drive people away. You could pick any child in America today and he could be The American Poster Child for Ritalin almost immediately. It's insane and selfish.

This culture and society offers NOTHING for our young people in regards of a good identity, personality or future. That is gone permanently. They have no choice but to live in a society with stupid Top-40 songs, a more "accepting" culture, little to no respect for others, and a Democratic Party that gives no hope to its citizens but to "save" a future that we're not gonna have as a country anyway.

Just out of curiosity, American Society, does your dictionary even have listings for "rationality", "tolerance" or "wit"? I ask because most other countries try to work those into their societies, but hey, you do you.
