I've never been a great sleeper. But my sleep has gotten significantly worse since April of last year and it's starting to affect my physical health and day to day mood/energy.

It's the closest feeling to death, so I embrace sleep as much as I can

Lately I'm an owl, I like the quiet of the deep night when the rest of the people are sleeping, it's perfect for reading, listening to the soft sound of rain, relaxing and writing.

Buho

I never had a problem with sleep until a year ago when I started averaging 2-3 hours sleep a day. Doxylamine initially helped but I took a double dose last week and still woke up 2.5 hours later. I've started on melatonin, see how that goes.

Same here, sleep is evading me... yet so important for our minds. May you find sweet dreams in the little time that your brain allows

My entire depression and suicidal ideation comes from lack of sleep. I wasn't being able to sleep because of sleep anxiety (a type of anxiety about not being able to sleep). To less sleep I got, the more anxious I became about sleep. After a few months of no sleep, I developed a deep depression that I am not able to overcome. Then they fired me from my job beacuse I was in the hospital with depression. Since I was fired, I wanna CTB. So basically I want to CTB because of lack of sleep.

I just sleep whenever, usally fall asleep anywhere from 7am-12pm then wake up from 1-5pm... I feel like a nocturnal animal. Time has entirely blended together for me. The days of the week, the seasons, none of it has any meaning for me anymore

Just wanting some peace

It doesn't bring me any peace really, as long as I continue to wake again in this cruel, torturous existence there cannot be any peace for me, only eternal sleep can bring me the peace I search for from the futile burden of existence that just causes and brings so much suffering all for the sake of it. I'm so tired of being conscious in this existence, I personally see it as an abomination to be enslaved in this existence capable of suffering to unlimited amounts just waiting to die anyway destined for nothing but to decay and suffer way more and as long as I exist I'll only hope for non-existence. Only non-existence can solve what I personally see as the true problem which is existence itself and I see so much cruelty in how I cannot just have the option to fall asleep permanently and never exist ever again with suffering seen as to force and prolong no matter what instead.

I'm up all night and in bed all day. I haven't seen the sun in so long and I have a light sensitivity so it hurts to go outside without glasses on.

I've been sleeping too much for the past 2 years or so. Could easily go for 24 hours. But l've been trying to have a proper routine recently

My sleep is entirely erratic and interrupted. I wake up often during the night. Frequent naps during the day screw up my night sleep even more.

every sort of sleep is important, but sleeping 4-6 hours is needed for the body than 7-8 . personally 7-8 hours make my body feel more tired and less productive.

My sleep is not good for the last year. I had to start taking medication and now I sleep too much, but it doesn't energize me.
