Anyone tried changing what you're sleeping on? I found that the mattress I was sleeping on was causing me a lot of trouble, changed it and I sleep a lot better now.

After taking ambien and benzos for so many years, I have built up quite a tolerance to them. I would not get a wink of sleep without them though.
That's a big part of the reason I want to shuffle off this mortal coil.

I sleep poorly usually, about 3-4 hours a night due to peripheral neuropathy and fatigue

recently bought a $1500 mattress, has helped a bit but not enough

Have you tried earplugs, I used to be b9thered by airplanes so much, but now with earplugs i finally cannot hear them anymore
I've tried that. With the plugs in my ears it didn't get any better, because of the plugs...
In this way I'm very sensitive, unfortunately.

As long as I'm in full-on NEET-mode I don't have a problem sleeping. If I have a job interview or something similar I have to have had a good sleep schedule going for a couple of weeks or more and good sleep hygiene in order to sleep (in combination with not comparing myself to others, worrying about the future or placing any importance on anything). I actually managed to fuck up my sleep schedule these last days so if I get hit with a job interview or decide to pick an education I might start losing a lot of sleep.

I don't sleep well. It's extremely difficult for me to switch off. My mind is always thinking. Eventaully I completely wear myself out and fall asleep for a few hours. The whole process then starts again....

I'm a small size female, and normal earplugs gives my ear pain. only this one is small and soft enough form me to be comfortable.
Also, I bought this earplug from both amazon and official website. The ones from the website has way better quality

I literally drink until I black out most of the time (@WornOutLife we are drinking compatriots). I never sleep for more than 5 hours unless I force myself to. The nights are difficult and the mornings even more so. This week I'm going to rely on sleeping pills and take a break from drinking.

All over the place. I have been prescribed with medication, it doesn't work. And when I do go to sleep, I'm asleep for hours. It's peaceful though...I hope death is like that.

I slept for 8 hours for the first time in months yesterday, and when I woke up I felt more shitty and exhausted than I ever had that entire time.

The biggest problem with not sleeping is all of the time there is to waste. I can never find anything to do with the whole 20-30 hours of awake time.
