how write a suicide note

hey, I was wondering if there's any thread or entry related to how to write a suicide note? I have already read the ash space article, but would like to know if yo've got any other resources, anything that could come in handy really.

I know suicide notes are deeply personal and stuff, but idk, I'm blank right now. still can't get to fugure out how to start or what to add along my farewell.

I dont know if there is a thread for that, but personally I just wrote whatever was going on my mind. It sounded a bit stupid reading what I wrote, but it was true. That's what matters.

when I think of writing a suicide note I just think of everything I want to say to the world, basically if it was televised. I think my suicide note would be more like a manifesto since it wouldn't just be a page or two, but I would talk foremost about why, my life, my beliefs, flashpoints, people I admired, people I want to say something or apologize to, etc.

I'm an overthinker to the point not a single word comes out of me. it's kinda hard. if only there were suicide note templates! haha

I've been journalling ever since my mental decline started. And the note I wrote a long while ago has definitely come from that. I start started to spew whatever wanted to be on a page in my journal and it sorta gave me an inkling on what to write if I ever did decide to go.

When I was writing my suicide letters, I thought about how my loved ones would never be able to talk to me again, so I wrote what I thought they would want to hear from me one last time. I also wrote why I did it

It depends for who it is tho I think if you don't want that person to feel bad you should tell them that it's not their fault, ofc they will blame themselves for one or another thing, when a friend of mine committed suicide I deeply felt bad for the time I didnt play stardew valley with him, it would have been one of my last chances to spend time with him.
tho he told me to not blame myself and that I helped him alot and even tho I really miss him, his goodbye text was short but it helped me Alot
You could tell them how much you appreciated them (if that's the case) that you love them a lot, but I don't really know myself as I'm thinking about this often tho I can't find the right way to write some form of letter

The note is something that one can really overthink, IMO. You're checking out here, and it's kind of weird to want to spew out all your thoughts and opinions only to have people pore over them when you're dead. Also, whatever you write, things will be missing, things won't be written as you want them to be, and the worst thing is that this will be your memoire - the words you wrote at the time you died. Have you ever read something that you wrote years ago when you were younger? I have, and it's horrible.
I just want my note to cushion the blow for the people that I know will be most affected - to reassure them that it's not their fault (and it really isn't), to tell them that there was nothing that they could have done to prevent it, and that I'll be happier, and that this was always going to happen (it was an inevitability), to tell them that I did have very happy moments in my life etc. No philosophising or anguish or getting angry at people or things.

I don't think theres a thread on here about how to write a suicide note (at least from what I've found). Dunno if it helps, but I'm planning on reassuring whoever gets to read my note that I'm happy with my decision to CTB so that gives you an idea of something to write if you want to. Also this might sound weird, but I find words flow more freely when I'm speaking aloud so sorta ranting to yourself may or may not give you ideas on what to write. Hell, you could even do a suicide voice/video note. That's what I'm planning to do anyway

I don't think there's a right or wrong way to write a suicide note at the end of the day. So long as you feel everything in there reflects how you feel, I like to believe it'll be fine

It really depends on you and the people around as well i guess, overall you might wanna say why you weren't able to continue on, it well be a very bad Event for people around you and its really your actual feeling towards them, say the truth cause after ctb you can't, anything in your heart let it all go.

Actually that gave me an idea to include those when I write the note (like the why, my beliefs, flashpoints, people I admired). At first I planned to keep it brief, but adding details might be more consoling for those that read it after I die.
