• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

What is your perspective on humanity and human nature? Do you believe there is still faith in humanity?

I am a misanthrope, which means that I don't like humanity. I think that there is too much injustice, pain, irrationality, and cruelty in society.

Our life as humans is determined by your genes, environment, and parents, and you don't have any control over who you are after all. Some people are born into good circumstances and can lead a happy life with family, friends, and passion, but others have to suffer every day and can never be truly happy.
Injustice among humans is probably one of the greatest compared to other animals.

People are also very irrational. I am an atheist and a nihilist, but most of us tend to believe in religion, free will, morality, and other things that haven't been proven to be true. I know that illusion is what people need to lead a happier life, but it still irritates me because it makes people less understanding of each other. For example, many people feel superior to others who struggle more in life and blame them for their situations without seeing the bigger picture. Animals cannot think consciously, so they cannot create religions and other delusions

Some people can be honest, hardworking, and kind, but I can't say that about most people. I do believe morality exists in a gray area, yet I also believe humans can be deeply cruel and selfish.

I believe in second chances, but the truth is that not all bad people are punished for the suffering or misfortune they cause others. Some people hurt others and never face consequences for it.

And honestly, some people seem to enjoy seeing others suffer for their own amusement, without any regard for how the other person feels. Those kinds of people deserve to be held accountable for what they've done.

My anger towards humans stems from humans having no tolerance for not much anything these days you cut someone off they threaten or blow your head of but not accepting responsibility in the long run.

Idk this a small rant oops

I would place more trust into the "hands" of AI, for bettering the world, than the average normie on the street. Most people are in my opinion just horrible

it's when you lose faith that you end in mental hospital (barring brain-based issues). A person's faith is who the person is.

Most people are good, but pointless and easily swept away in circumstance

Being a part of humanity wouldn't be so annoying if it had legalised hard drugs and assisted suicide

Hard to fault humanity sometimes when I get convinced that we are all just automatons with the illusion of having moral worth.

I think if you're lucky, born in the right place, with a supportive in-group then it's easy to see humanity as fundamentally good and ignore the way we all screw each other.

It's also much easier to ignore anyone in need of help. Because if human nature is good, then everyone who needs help will get it and you, personally, have no obligation to ensure that actually happens.

But anyone who's ever been on the wrong side of statistic can tell you that humanity is neither good nor fundamentally prosocial. We only treat others well so long as it's more convenient (or more socially acceptable) than treating them badly.

I don't think people are maliciously evil, necessarily, but there's no way in hell I'd ever call us "good".

humanity is unfortunately infinitely complex because individual humans are able to be anything from amazingly to astonishingly bad.
But as a whole I think humanity sucks so fucking bad and I wish we'd all just bite the bullet and rapture bomb ourselves out of existence

Based on my 25 years of experiencing humanity………..

When humanity wants to do good, humanity will do good.
When humanity wants to be evil OHHH BOY does humanity go all out on that front.

Humanity ain't for me honestly.
