I have this issue where whenever things get worse, i stop taking my antidepressants and all other health medication. It takes too much effort to fill a glass of water and swallow 5 pills. I feel worse without my medication so i dont really understand the logic behind my actions. Can anyone relate? If you take medication regularly, how do you manage?

I no longer take meds but I know what youre talking about. I had a similar issue although I never felt better on my meds.
A while ago though, I saw a video about a pill dispenser. You fill in the pills in this little box and it rotates.

I think it might be helpful in your case.
Instead of buying it, you could organize your pills for each day and put them in little baggies?
Idk if thats better or not.

I think that might do the trick. It's kind of silly but if I decorate the pill dispenser I think I'll be more motivated to take my meds..
Thank u for your reply <3

I have the same problem! To keep me doing it, I have a little app where doing my chores takes care of a little critter, and it sends me notifications and rewards me for taking my meds lol. If you get a similar one, maybe it'll help by instant gratification? Don't pay for one though, there's gotta be a bunch of free ones.

I agree with the pill organizer! It's much easier to have meds already counted out and ready to go each week. Depending on what time of the day you take them, I always try to make my meds accessible in the "path" of my morning or night routines along with a bottle of water so I don't have to keep going back and forth. Even putting an extra piece of candy in with your daily pills might be motivating so you can have a little treat when you take them (:

For me it's a bedtime routine, and I've found that routine helps calm me down enough to sleep. Not sure if your medication is meant to be taken during the day though. I also like to take them with something like 7-Up or Sprite just so I'm not taking a bunch with water. It gets rid of the aftertaste in my throat after taking them.

i buy bottled water so I don't have to fill a glass. THough I'm not depressed enough to struggle with these types of things so it doesn't really matter for me

How's your sleep?

I can't sleep if I don't take my meds, and so the pain of staying a wake is worse than the pain/effort of taking meds

Is there something like that for you?

My sleep is good but also bad, i sleep 15 hours a day but falling asleep can be hard. It was the same for me i had trouble falling asleep without them and would wake up every couple hours. So sorry we have to rely on medication to feel better, sending you hugs & hearts.

With all honesty, i was able to keep up with my pills for 2 weeks after i made that post, and stopped suddenly after bcz i had trouble taking them without vomitting / feeling super nauseous. Now i absolutely cannot take any pills without feeling nauseous and vomitting, unfortunately. I really wanna do something about it because it's hell without them and i feel so so so terrible i cannot explain. I dont know what to do. I heard they sell liquid versions instead of the pill, but wouldnt that be disgusting and super bitter?
