Help How to stop exploding head feeling

Hi guys I tried to hang myself like three times yesterday, YES i've read every single guide, yes the cord was all the way up my neck, yes the noose knot was directly behind my neck, yes the cable was above the adam's apple. i followed the guide to a T and when i would dangle a foot off the stool, immediately that head exploding feeling would come and would only intensify the less pressure i'd put on my stable foot. pls any advice. please dont link the hanging guide lol i already read all of them im looking for new advice.

yes, it tightens easily. all the guides say noose knot is appropriate for full suspension hanging

Because all of the experts on hanging are dead. Because no one has anything to say. If you have read all the guides then you know more than most people here. Wtf are we supposed to say?

Here is my comment, but you won't like it, because this is something you probably already know.

The Noose Knot with a stopper knot is fine. If you've tested it and it tightens easily, that's likely not the problem.

The cause is probably that you're not putting enough pressure. Pussyfooting around it is not the way to do it. You said you've read all the guides. In which guide exactly does it say that you should be careful with stepping off your support and not commit decisively and quickly?

If you're unable to do it because you don't have confidence in the method, then maybe you should practice first while holding the other end of the rope in your hand. However, for your actual attempt, if you're hesitating and trying to be too careful, it will just result in what you're experiencing.

I'm not suggesting you should just step off and go for it. Whether you do that is up to you. I'm just pointing out that if you're trying to be careful, that will not work whether it's full or partial suspension.

thank you!! i figured it was something of the sort. i was testing to see if id pass out or just lay swinging there choking on the rope but it appears i just have to go for it. that solved my question thank you so much

Well, your experience proves otherwise.
Try a different knot.

A handy knot to hold things is below.
It makes a small, fixed loop.



If you use it like this (below) it tightens easily and firmly. Easy to loosen too when needed.


I use this in automotive work when I need to hold something heavy in position and use two hands for the repair.
