How to search topics and message members - sorry if this is redundant

I have two more questions:

1.How do we search this site
2. how do we message people?

Every time I follow someone and click on their profile it says this action can't be completed?!

Welcome to the forum! You need a few more posts. That's all.

Search and chat will be in the upper right corner and you can also start conversations with users then.

1. there should be a search function available to you, normally at the top right corner. although if you are using a new account i think this feature might not be available to you yet

2. there should be a mail icon in the top sidebar, clicking on it should give you the option to start a new conversation. i think you should be able to figure out the rest from there

additionally some people may have their profile set to private which is why you could be getting the "action can't be completed" message

if these features aren't available to you yet then it's probably because your account is restricted [due to being new], sending a few posts should eventually unlock them
