Hello my beautiful community,
I thank you for being supportive and patient with so many questions. This place is a true gem worth more than El Dorado. I hope one day we won't have to hide under the shadows and we can have our rights and autonomy respected in society.
I am leaving soon hopefully if everything goes well. But there are still some special friends I wish to say something nice before I go. I don't want to give off the impression of a suicide letter to avoid suspicion and not cause alarm. But I kind of low key don't want these people to think I've forgotten them. (Some live abroad and are good friends I met when I did my Erasmus and we've kept in touch for quite some time. Others live here in the same area as I and she is one of the closest things to a platonic soulmate I can imagine (I'm gay. Our friendship is no more than that). But she really means a lot to me because it's really rare to find people like that in this world and I'm so happy we had a chance to become friends this past year.
Another is an elderly lady that is a very dear friend to me when we used to work on campus together. Very knowledgeable and goodness she always makes me feel so happy because she is a history buff like me and has always seen potential in me when I can't. I'm returning a book she lent me and giving her a giftcard that I've been trying to give to her for a while.
None of them know about my suicidality and they wouldn't understand my reasoning for dying. They probably would understand why but not the fact that I see this as my decision.
And I'd rather not alarm them or burden them.
Initially, I was planning on making a massive suicide note and posting it so it would be general and not on a one to one basis, but I decided against it because I just want to die in peace and I don't want attention.
But I'd like to say some kind words to them without alarming them.
Any ideas on how to go about with this without giving the impression I'm planning to die ?
Has anyone ever tried saying goodbye in a discrete way ?
Any tips are appreciated!
