  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Is there any Chemicals or processes to destroy Survival Instinct (SI)?

Anything helps, Thanks

take yourself to the darkest place in your mind, remind yourself why you are in this hell, relive it, thrive in it, and damn that SI goes running (this is speaking from experience!)
Maybe not the best, thing, but it can help!

I am not aware of any medications that can cause it to go? though some say alcohol can lessen it

I think that many people overcome the SI when they reach the point of desperation and all that they want is to escape from this life. They just know that it's time to leave. But of course those who knew the answer to this question have already left this world.

I kind of agree with Funeralcry's response. I'm always read about the power of SI. But if you are in such a desperate and dark place, SI should be very minimal or zero. So, I'm in my late 40's, had serious depression and suicidal thoughts since I was a kid. Tried every medication combo I think even exists, therapy, ECT, and more. I have zero hope and wish for death, in any way possible, every day. So my SI is zero. I often wonder if those with serious SI have a much inner sense of hope than they let themselves believe. And, to me, that's a sign of potential??? Idk. And no, I'm not a "pro-lifer". Just something I've wondered about. Why Si varies so greatly. Just hating my personal perspective.

SI rises up from a deep biological place, maybe subconscious. The body does not want to die. You can think that you couldn't possibly experience SI and be surprised by the strength of it at the last minute. SI can even kick in when we are fully unconscious, like some people have experienced when attempting partial hanging and wake up alive, their bodies having thrashed their way out of the partial. I have also read about people who have tried to die of exposure (winter weather), lost consciousness, and their bodies took over and got them to safety. Obviously it doesn't happen all the time, and being drunk or whatever can alter the experience, but be cautious about the hubris of being certain you will not experience SI. You might want to die but your body does not.

The body does not wish to die (unnaturally - forced), yet it'll be ready when the body turns old & saggy and you pass in your sleep - the body is a very weird machine.

Not necessarily. Very few people are lucky enough to pass away quietly in their sleep. Plenty of people die, even in very old age, and experience the unpleasant process of having the body fight the whole way. It's not great to witness it.

I don't think that you can eliminate your SI completely. It's a very powerful instinct. I think that it can be weakened, but it will always be there, and you just have to push past the fear.

For me, SI is powerful because I am not sure what will happen when I die. If there could be a way that I could see before the actual death and know that there is an afterlife (a good one) I could die way more easily.

SI is a real thing. I've heard of people getting out of the ctb situation with super human strength. People some taking zip ties off of their necks with their bare hands. I think my SI isn't as strong as it used to be. I had a unsuccessful attempt with nicotine and I was feeling fine through the whole thing, no fear, anxiety, or even panic.
