  • Hey Guest,

    Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

    This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

    In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

What are some things you could do to prepare before your death to help out those you care about? Maxing out lines of credit etc and leaving money? What about things of value? Does the state assume your possessions or can I somehow put them away for someone? What happens to mortgages etc. I'd love to sell my house but I'm short on time and will raise too many red flags of what I'm planning.

Leave them money or valuable things. Also, clean out your things so they don't have to clean up a million things. You can sell things you have now to liquidate for more cash. Name nonprofits in your will, so that if you fail, you're not out of money, but if you succeed, they get money. Leave a note directing where you want donations to go in lieu of flowers for your funeral, if applicable. Make sure your pets, etc, will have good care, if applicable. It's sweet of you to think of others.

I'm thinking it's best to try and give cash etc sneakily beforehand. Especially if I leverage my credit I will have debt by the end of this. Thoughts on how?

* Last supper, throw a farewell party, chance to say good bye to your loved ones, making them understand if possible. It's not easy but it will be (too) great if you do. Make them hear your death wishes in persons.

* Make an advance care directive, choose your agents who will be there at your last moment, some people presence may not be good even if they're your family

* Donate your organs

* Know insurance company that covers suicide; but this is still too sensitive, hardly to make a claim, a whole lot new level of consciousness for the biz to explore.

* Some cultures may appreciate (after) funeral party, they're good.

I get checks in the mail from my credit card that can just be filled out for cash. I never do it, but it would make sense here. You may want to check if your estate is liable after you are gone before it goes to someone else. Or you can get it to them before you are gone. Sad :(

On paper I won't really have anything to leave anyone. I have some valuables but I don't know what happens to those. My life insurance won't pay out for suicide. My house will make some money but will be cancelled out by auto loan and line of credit. I just want to give cash and valuables to my ex

My will is already written. I am giving whatever I have left to various charities that I like.

I'm working through my funeral planning now. I have to double check my insurance but all my assets will go to my wife and kid. I'm still wrestling with selling off stuff of mine. I know more of what their value is than my wife so I want to get some decent $$ for them vs the estate cleaners who just pay pennies to get rid of stuff. I'm just not set on a date yet so that's holding off on the selling.

I have some valuables but I don't know what happens to those.
Depending on your country you should be able to leave some kind of note to hand them over to who you want. Maybe box them up and mail if possible? You could probably put that in a will.
