i tend to cut myself a lot and every single last one of them heal pretty regularly. but I absolutely hate it. I hate the way it shrinks, I hate the way it makes me feel like I'm faking my cuts. i really want thick puffy keloid scars they're genuinely so pretty. lol it kinda sounds like this is a fetish or something but i desperately want keloid scars. no matter how deep I cut they just won't appear. I always do either styros or beans and still nothing. I just want to feel seen. I'm thinking about cutting inside my old scars but I'm not sure if that'll do anything. any tips?

You think the recognition you will get from keloid scars will anyway benifit you?
no obviously not, i just feel like i look like a pussy because of the way my scars heal. for me I think it's a mixture of wanting to be seen and wanting to like the way my scars look idk how to word it well

You should work on your desire to be constantly seen. It will help you attein

I totally understand that desire. At least for me, it makes me feel not as valid if my scars are small. The location of a cut is a big factor in whether it will form a keloid scar or not. Apparently chest and shoulder cuts have a high likelihood of forming keloids due to the "high skin tension". I guess you move your shoulders a lot so it can fuck with the healing process.

I struggle with the same exact thing, and it is beyond frustrating. Every single one of my scars have shrunk and turned into thin white lines despite me hitting styros on the regular. They're definitely there if you look for them, but they're pale and thin and not as prominent. It makes me feel like a SH larper, tbh.

The only time I've ever gotten a semi-puffy scar is the one time I hit beans on my thigh, but the scar itself is so pale that it doesn't stand out. I'm not sure if it's just the way I heal, or if I genuinely have to hit beans to get a keloid scar.

Keloid scars are largely genetic and also probably location based within those genetics. I'm not sure you'll get the answer you're hoping for.

I'm asking because the age of your account, your username, pfp, and the way you talk all make me think that you're a high schooler who lied about their age in order to make an account. "You have to be 18 to make an account" isn't some cutesy suggestion, it is not appropriate AT ALL for adults to be giving a minor advice on how to self harm or take their own life.

Yes, they're not really something you can control.
