How to deal with someone who tells you that your being lazy and not trying hard enough?

Like I'm barely existing ffs. I barely make it through the days. They expect me to just get better? I wish I could! Like wtf I don't understand

Those kind of people piss me off so much!
My mother used to tell me that all the time and I went mad but then relaxed and got used to ignoring her because I wanted my freedom back. And I hot it :)

So as for your question, just try to do your best and ignore them. They will never understand how you feel.

Sounds just like my father tbh. Nobody deserves to have their own feelings and experiences invalidated like that. That person isn't worth your time, and I can assure you that the problem lies with them and you aren't to blame at all!

Just tell them, "Thanks, I work hard for it".

On a serious note, what do these people try to achieve by bickering about someone's laziness? If anything, it would only make me lazier lol.

Depends on the context. I'd probably agree because it's true. Yes, I'm not willing to put enough effort to get X, if I'm even able to get X. And yes, whatever I've done so far wasn't sufficient to get X.

If I'd want to get back at someone, I'd do something like this:
xxx: You didn't get that grade/job/whatever because you're lazy. You aren't working hard enough.
yyy: I already got that grade/job/whatever.
xxx: What's/where/when the job? (asking questions)
yyy: I've already answered your questions. You should've listened to me.
xxx: No you didn't.
yyy: Yes, I did. You're just being inattentive. You're not listening good enough. (Right back at you, mf. Feel that? Feel the taste of your own medicine?)
xxx: <Asking to repeat the answers.>
yyy: <Repeating that I just did and blame them for not listening good enough.>
