Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

So when I finally work up the courage to do it, I'm going to drive and then walk to the middle of nowhere. I used to want myself cremated but I don't want some poor person accidently being traumatized when they find my freshly deceased corpse with a hole through its head or hanging from the ceiling so I decided that if I went out into the middle of nowhere, no one would be in danger of being found until I'm nothing but a decayed skeleton. It would probably scare the shit out of whoever eventually finds it but hopefully it'll be less damaging than the alternative.

Does anyone else have any similar thoughts

Yes same here, it's my #1 dream to decompose and give back to the earth. I also don't want them to find my body, I know it'd be dead but it feels like assault for them to do whatever with my body.

The realistic part is that in many countries it's impossible to disappear to such a extent that they find your skeleton. It also makes a difference what the weather is like and which animals are around. I want to do it in a national park. Like a large forest.

You could send a delayed email with coordinates using what three words. It should ensure you're found by the authorities

I've had thoughts like this. The ultimate would be in the ocean wearing a weighted backpack, or perhaps deep in a forest.

The main problem with 'disappearing' is that it makes a mess if there's a legal estate to deal with. It takes a long time to actually get pronounced legally dead.

Worse than finding a loved one dead, is not knowing what happened. It is living in doubt. Searching and hoping to find the person again and well. At the same time, dreading for the worst. If you hate your Family, this is a great way of tormenting them.

But I guess that after all, it could never matter to us if someone else finds a dead body as we simply won't be there at that point. I get that it might upset someone if they came across one but the reality is that we all have to die somewhere, someday and there's nothing that anyone can do about this.

If all goes according to plan, I should be ending myself at a hidden corner of a public park on a rainy day, then have a pre-written email with the coordinates of the expected final resting area sent on a timer 1 hour after my planned demise. The rain should minimise the amount of people in the area, and hopefully the email will just summon a clean-up team and not traumatise them too much.

The only part I have not figured out yet is how to request my remains to be destroyed and disposed of into a compost bin or a landfill, since legally speaking I probably have next of kin even though I have not communicated with them for over a year. If they got their hands on my body, then they would definitively be burying me under a ridiculous name, and dressed in a suit in a most unfashionable manner too. Insult to injury, really.

i'm just afraid that however i plan it, someone i know will be forced to look at my corpse to "confirm" it's me.. which would be traumatising even if they don't like me.. is that a thing that really happens?

I dont think that's done anymore, especially if you hold your ID and have dental records

figtree, yeah, I've been wondering about the same thing.

Can't they just use dental records to confirm identity?
What if they find all my IDs near my body?

I'll probably have mine in my pocket but I'll also be sending a delayed email with where I'll be too

that´s actually the only thing that stops me, really. i dont want to leave my body here. i thought of doing it deep into the forest, or the ocean, but im afraid someone will discover my dead body and abuse it. im terrified of that happening, therefore im afraid of death itself.

That's actually one thing I'm not afraid of. People in general seem to have more respect for the dead than they do the living so I'm not afraid they'll do anything. And if they do I probably deserve it anyways
