  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I am possibly being rather naive here and (without trying to sound apathetic) almost every month I learn that someone from the area I grew up in / live in has CTB. Methods seem to vary (from what I understand).

How do so many people go through with this?

My Son died (age 11 and a half) unexpectedly last October. He would have celebrated his 12th birthday yesterday. The pain I am in is excruciating. I really want to CTB but not botch this in any way. I am scared I will mess it up. I'm also scared ill back out because I have three other children.

Would 2 x 100ml bottles of morphine and some anti sickness tablets be enough? I really don't want to go down the SN route.

Ok I am incredibly sorry if this comes off as dismissive or ignorant, but if you have children, I wouldn't recommend CTB'ing. It would traumatise them immensely and would likely be detrimental to your family. I would wait until they're old enough to take care of themselves before committing.

Also, I'm extremely sorry about your 11 year old.

I'm sorry for your loss! I heard it's very painful to lose a child. My male friend died by suicide and his mom in and out the ER. You mentioned "other children" who will be raising them if you die? Sometimes we live in pain just to save our loved ones. I wish you the best.
