I must be having a bout of retardation and can't find the setting in my profile options. You can hide your posts and make them private, correct?
UK users: Due to a formal investigation into this site by Ofcom under the UK Online Safety Act 2023, we strongly recommend using a trusted, no-logs VPN. This will help protect your privacy, bypass censorship, and maintain secure access to the site. Read the full VPN guide here.
Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.
This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

At the risk of stating the obvious the whole forum is public. Well,.. most of it.Oh i didn't know they were public
Wrong. People can make their profiles private. Like I can't look up someone's profile and see all their posts. I don't want strangers and people who haven't registered reading all my posts. At the risk of stating the obvious the whole forum is public. Well,.. most of it.
Thanks but people can still see my posts. I don't know what setting these people are using. Privacy only has 2 options. Be seen or unseen online and hide current activity.

Some have their posts hidden. To see all posts by a member you can click on their avatar from any thread they've posted in and select the number under "messages." Are you saying there's a way to hide that number?
I can read all your posts even if you have your profile in private by just using the search box with the "By:" filter.I don't want strangers and people who haven't registered reading all my posts.
Well no, it's not wrong I'm afraid. Even if your profile is private it's easy to see all your posts. Click on my profile pic (or anyone else's) then you'll see a pop up showing two numbers. One is "messages" and the other is "reaction score". At this moment you have 67 "messages"/posts. If Ior anyone else clicks the number it leads to a list of all your posts. Anyone can do this with or without an account. Thanks but people can still see my posts. I don't know what setting these people are using. Privacy only has 2 options. My bad, you're right. And thx. What bothers me is that I can't even find the option on my end to make my profile private. Maybe I need it on PC. So others get the error that says user limits those who can see profile.Well no, it's not wrong I'm afraid. Even if your profile is private it's easy to see all your posts. As @GasMonkey pointed out your post can also be searched out via the search function. This function isn't available to unregistered people or very new members however they can of course use the method outline above regardless.
The whole forum bar a small section is entirely public. The only things that you can keep private are private messages and chat. Your profile page doesn't contain a huge amount of info unless you fill out the "about me" section or if you have wall posts.
You can do it on mobile but maybe you will have better luck if you use the dropdown/pop up menu of your browser and choose "desktop mode". It will force your mobile browser to show the site in desktop mode. I'm not sure if all browsers have this feature but Firefox, DuckDuckGo and Brave browsers all do. I would expect chrome to also but that's a browser I'd steer clear of if it's privacy you value. My bad, you're right. And thx. I do see already that error message when I click on your name. Also, the list of your posts does not appear to include any profile posts, so I think you may have already done what you are trying to do?My bad, you're right. And thx. Nt sre wht u r c-ingI thought Dot may have done it as she was on thw moderating team but now it appears maybe she's not any longer.
Did you leave the mod team, Dot? I don't see the usual signifying title under you pfp.

Am stll on th/ team
= okMaybe I'm misremembering. I apologise if so. I just thought it used to say "moderator" or something to that effect, above or below your profile picture. Now though, I see no indicators.
Glad to hear you're still on the team.
Thank you. There's a time limit on being able to edit posts. So for a short period you can but then the option times out.
If you ever really need something removed or changed you can use the report button at the bottom left of the relevanr post and a pop up will allow you to write the specific details foe a moderaror to view.
