I've suffered from depression for as long as I can remember. I've been dealing with my relationship with God for even longer. For a while, my fear of the "nothingness" was greater than my desire to leave this world. But as I've changed as I got older, so has my relationship with spirituality.

I believe we all have souls. I believe was all are here to fulfill purposes and to learn life lessons. I believe that a lot of people here (on Earth) are working out karma. I also believe that a lot of us have a non human origin, as in, our souls have incarnated here from other places within the cosmos.

I know this sounds like a much crazy, hippie woohoo shit. I'm not afraid of death because I know this isn't the end. My reasons to ctb are also driven by curiosity. Ever since I was young I've been wanting to go "home." I want to know where that is, why I chose to come here. This place feels so alien and I don't know how to live here.

Definitely an interesting perspective. It's not one I hold but maybe if I did it'd give me more courage to jump.

i don't believe computers have souls when they breakdown they simple cease to function there's no heaven for computers
likewise human brain are just made up of atoms 3,273,200,000,000,000,000,000,000 nanometers in the human brain i simple beleave we cease functioning upon death just like a computer

there's no progression here no life lessons to be learn and used in the next life and karma isn't real

Beautiful way of putting the feeling of "otherness" into words. Its like the universe accidentally misplaced someone. I dont feel like Im meant to be living this life.

I think that existence is completely meaningless personally, we only exist in the first place because of evolution and once we lose consciousness that is it for us, we just cease existing. But I see eternal nothingness as being home as it's freedom from all suffering and torment, I also feel like I'm not meant for existing. I don't believe in anything spiritual but I hope that you find what you are searching for, best wishes.

I'm in the same boat as you, although I don't know where I originally came from (it would be interesting to know more about previous lives, so it could tell what should be done in this life). You could benefit a lot from astrology - it tells a lot about you and your life (north node e.g. points to spiritual life lessons). Tarot can also prove useful.

I'm just not cut out for this life. Here's to hoping I don't have to come back!

I've done so much soul searching, it's insane. I think I've figured out what my lessons were supposed to be. I've forgiven everyone in my life and fingers crossed, im hoping me understanding it will be enough for me peace out. Kinda like getting to leave class early because you finished all your work, you know?

I believe in all of this as well. And I didn't come up with it myself either, it just seems to be what everyone who's had a major near-death experience has documented about the afterlife.

There's no devil or hell, there's only our ignorance. Once we die we'll get to see everything we did and how it affected others, so we can learn. And then we'll reincarnate to some different situation, so we can experience as much as possible.

Hopefully you understand your last paragraph. You are describing societal indoctrination to keep you in line. Just religion on woke/liberal/feminism, etc lens.
I don't want to sound troll like or bitter(of course I'm bitter).., but the thinking in your last paragraph is what they feed you in movies, books, ethics, etc.
You know what, it's just religion repackaged

I'm not entirely sure I understand your perspective. There is no societal indoctrination regarding this specific topic, in fact, I would argue the opposite. It is the fear of hell/the devil that the church uses to keep people in line, it is what keeps them in so much power.

This particular belief actually goes against the norm. For a society to function, there needs to be certain behaviors that need to be unacceptable. Murdering, lying, stealing, etc etc would not be conducive to a productive community. So we punish these things to deter people from doing them. I think it's a normal human rational to believe that the afterlife works the same way. We need to believe that bad people get punished, otherwise how can there be any justice?

But I honestly believe that to be the case about the afterlife. Most religious indoctrination is threatening people with hell if they don't obey their authorities.

They absolutely hate the idea of there not being a devil or hell, probably because they love the idea of people who believe in something different from them suffering for an eternity.

I don't believe what I believe because I've been told to believe it, it's just the explanation for life and the universe that makes the most sense to me, and also has the most of the closest thing to evidence (near-death experiences).

Ok. I'm dying on 1 October, so I'm very idle and read all sorts of things. You can Google some scientists just recorded brain activity of some dying guys..., They concluded it may be the explanation of near death experiences. That's all. Though the findings are scary..., Imagine your brain keeps on creating all possible scenarios after you are dead for the next 12 hours or so .. just kidding about the 12 hours. It's much less

There's just so much in common about people's NDEs. I think it actually makes more sense for it to be real than for humans to have evolved a quality that only becomes apparent when you're already in a situation where you'd most likely have always died before modern medicine. It doesn't help at all with survival.

We will never really find out. You must realize that the whole human experience is about denying the truth and reality. We structure a whole system of experience whose sole purpose is to deny reality and truth. If we were to confront reality and the truth...., There'd be fear and trembling. Some guy got famous for writing about fear and trembling.
Of course, you are right: there's something about the human condition which is inexplicable.
That inexplicability is what society, corporations, government, ethics, etc don't want you to even consider.
If you did, you'd kill yourself or go mad and become useless for the society, corporations or government.

Interesting belief system you have. I believe we are part of the cosmic god and nature is part of us. when i die, my identity is gone and my carbon elements return to the soil. Maybe there is soul but for now, i need not fear something which happens to everyone eventually.
