How reliable/ successful is the exit bag method, I rarely see any stories about it or people use it.

Hello, I am going to ctb with exit bag but I want to know how reliable/ successful is the exit bag method, I rarely see any stories about it or people use it.

Doesn't seem very reliable to me, I feel like most people would subconsciously rip the bag off.

There's a thread on connecting a scuba mask to a nitrogen tank or something that seems more safe

helium with an exit bag was my original method, but i switched after feeling like it was too complicated for me. there were too many factors that i felt that i would mess up on. there are definitely successful deaths using this method, but i do feel that they are the minority on SaSu. though it seems like the most ideal and peaceful way to die, i wish it was something i could pull off by myself.

I was pretty excited about the exit bag method because it seemed relatively simple on the surface. Instructions are too complicated ot make one, and the chances of me getting it right without also wasting a tank or two of whatever inert gas I can get my hands on is way higher than a lot of other methods.

It seems pretty reliable. There are accounts of people who've passed out and died just from getting hit with nitrogen gas in a small room, not even wearing a mask. The reason it's not used more often is because it can be difficult to obtain the supplies, and complicated.
