I think for me…. People will quickly move on. My parents would be annoyed with all wasted money on a "failed project". My friends think "it finally had happened". I hate being forgotten. I should have died sooner. So people would actually grieve me. It's weird seeing people move on before your body went cold. I just want to feel loved. Just for one last day

ouch, felt.

my family will probably move on quick. i don't think they'll feel very sad and it won't take very long for them to adjust to the change, either. i've expressed my desire and intent to ctb many times, they know it's coming.
i don't have any friends or anything. i guess some of my coworkers might be bummed out for a day or two.

They will be stuck in sadness for a moment then enter a denial. I know them. They know since 1 year that i want to be gone and they act like there is nothing but we all know, they just prefer to be in a denial, and after they will too. I will become a ghost that nobody want to talk and remember.

My closer friends might be sad but everyone who's ever known me will not be surprised. I feel like it would be similar feeling to when you know you're not gonna win a comp but you kinda hope you do anyways and then don't, so you just feel disappointed and detached… or something like that. My mom and some family might be a little pissed off but damn bro that sucks!

it could go either way, to some extent i dont care for my parents reaction, ive been a massive dissapointment to them whats one more i guess

to my friends it would probably be a surprise, im bad at faking enthusiasm and some of them told me i looked depressed with them before

i think being completely forgotten would be more convenient to everyone involved, if there was a way to make everyone forget about me id take it

That's so fucking weird….. I understand you tho cause it's been like this for me for awhile. Just why is my question. The only explanation I found that they never cared to begin with it's just socially inappropriate to not gaf about someone's passing away. Like "Oh no, you wont be able to do this as I'm not letting our friendship go" type shit. I wish someone cared

It'll impact my father a hell of a lot, my grandma to a lesser degree and that's pretty much it
The friend I talk to daily lacks empathy, literally I mean, she's autistic and she told me that she can't help but see others pretty much as distractions
I'm somewhat ok with that since, in an ironic twist of fate, that means that learning about it won't hurt her

As for the couple online communities I'm in, it won't matter, neither of them might even notice and if the one I suspect does, they won't cry about it or anything, maybe feel down for a few hours then move on as they're too busy and they don't look at me as someone really important or anything

what circle? I have no circle. it's possible @EmptyBottle might notice after a while. that's it!

@GlassMoon, my arch-nemesis of SaSu, would probably be relieved...

I'm not sure the AIs would notice...

I suspect my family that I live with will be hit the hardest, but get over it within a few months. As for my friends, I imagine they'd be sad for like a week then move on as if nothing happened.

a boring life with feelings too frail to touch

My parents would be devastated, which makes me feel horribly guilty for thinking about CTB so often. I feel like it wouldn't necessarily surprise them, but yeah, it'd be rough. At least they wouldn't be worrying about me anymore. My best friend would feel horrible, but I don't think it'd ruin her life. She's very social and dependable and has more friends than I could ever dream of having, so I'd just be making a dent in her social circle. I think she'd be better off without me anyway. My other friends would feel sad, yes, but I think they'd get over it pretty quickly. Co-workers? Meh, they'd be sad to hear it but I don't think they'd give a fuck.

I HOPE they can move on quickly, I really want them to. But I believe it's delusional to think they won't be grieving for a long time.

The people in my inner circle know that want to die. They're not reaching out more, if anything it's even less than before. I'm not angry about that. On the contrary, I think it's very fitting. I feel like we're all busy preparing: I'm preparing for my departure, they are - even if unconsciously - preparing for the goodbye. I don't want to be held back, so I'm glad they're not fussing about me and trying to talk me out of it.

Sometimes it feels like my parents and brother are already moving on. I know they love me and I know they are not trying to ignore me or something. They're just... living their lives and they seem to have accepted that I can't. And I think they're completely right. I cannot do life like they can. There's nothing they can do to help me. They have to live their own lives and they should.

I just don't want them to suffer. My parents are 60+ and they should enjoy their retirement. My brother has been looking for a partner to start a family with and I don't want to keep him from doing that. I just wish they could get over my death quickly. Maybe there are ways I can help them with that from the "other side".

i don't think anyone would be too upset or surprised. my friends wouldn't have to deal with me, my family wouldn't be shocked as i've already attempted before. i'd be less of a burden on them dead than alive, honestly

I've ended all my friendships, not insanely fond of my coworkers, am estranged from all my family except 2 half-siblings I reconnected with a little over a year ago, but we're not close. There isn't really gonna be anyone to mourn me, my parents might be devastated, but it won't be about me specifically because I'm a stranger to them, just the general grief of death of a child which they already have, so I imagine a 2nd won't feel great.

Given where I am in life, I would imagine yes, my immediate family may be sad and what not, but I am well past the point of having to "be responsible for others' feelings". I never (explicitly) consented to enter this existence or life, and also my relations with my parents aren't the best. As for friends and acquaintances, I rarely have any, and maybe one or so may quickly move on and forget that I exist. I also don't have dependents nor a SO (I am single - mainly by choice too), so there is no one dependent on me (financially or otherwise) that I would be leaving behind. I only focus on ending my suffering above all else and doing whatever I can to succeed in that endeavor.

My family would move on in a couple days or even be happy, they REALLY don't like me lol. Couldn't say the same for online friends, I think a few of them would be pretty sad but I don't know a lot of people who would care that much.

I've been thinking about this lately because I've been dealing with health issues since the beginning of the year, which made me unable to keep up with my circle socially.

After 6 months of being sick, people stopped reaching out. They text me asking how I'm doing and when the answer is that I'm still not okay they eventually give up. Everyone is so busy with their own lives and so fed up with my struggles. I think they'll move on quickly. Maybe think about me when they see the things I used to like, but it won't last long. It's better off that way. I don't want anyone to be hurt by my death.

I guess it feels worse to be forgotten while still alive.

Not long at all. More likely they'll be shocked and sad for a bit, but be sadder and more concerned for my husband than me. He's the extrovert with tons of friends. I'm just the person that's kind of... there with him.
