Method How much nitrogen -PPeH 2025 copy

On pages 139,140 im the 2025 version of the pph it talks about 2.2litre MaxxiLine disposable nitrogen cylinders

that only seems to be filled at the pressure of 100bar -

meaning it has an expanded volume of only 220litres of nitrogen

It says on page 138

"These compact, light cylinders (weight ~ 2Kg) have a simple 10mm (M10) screw thread that allows a small flow gauge regulator to be attached without the use of any tools. At 15 liters/ min flow rate, ~15 mins of nitrogen is provided which is enough for a reliable death. Branding varies from country to country."

And 15Lpm for 15mins is enough for a reliable death - that works out to be 225 Litres of expanded gas

On here ive read to have enough for 40mins ?? 15Lpm for 40 mins is 600L of gas

And I've only seen options for 2.2Litres at 100bar for pure nitrogen (only 220L expanded volume)

I can't find any listings of 2.2L canisters filled at higher pressures like 200bar

The only other sizes they sell online (UK) are 2.2L and then 8L which is absolutely huge and not to mention heavy

My other question is why are there images of the MaxxiLine 2.2L canisters when the highest pressure they are filled at is filled at 100bar - a total volume of 220L is 5Litres Less than the 15Lpm for 15mins enough for a "reliable death"

And no I don't believe it's because pph is only written for people who already suffer with physical illnesses.

For me it was very simple. I searched "pure nitrogen near me", I called the first place on the list, asked if they had the size tank I was looking for (40 cf), they said no, but they could have it for me in a week, and they did. Try making some calls & see what they offer you.

I have autism and don't do well with phone calls it's really stressful for me - im just mostly trying to figure what's the least amount of expanded gas I would need as the info on sasu and pph is very contradictory

Sorry I'm not great with figuring out the bars to liters thing (although I have before)… what's the discrepancy between the pph & sasu?I think it's generally agreed that at least 40 minutes worth is safest. I knew someone who CTB'd with only 20 minutes worth, but that's cutting it close.

Most likely I'll just follow the pph guidelines as now ive found a 2L 200bar canister- so 400L expand enough for 27mins
Pph says you only need enough for 15mins which makes sense since it's very similar to hanging except with an oxygen deprived environment instead of oxygen being deprived of being carried to the brain - that only take 10-15mins
I think even with 17 minutes if you know what you're doing would be fine the two extra minutes to inflate the bag above your head
Everything should be fine once I figure out a compatible regulator for the canister I found

Technically, that should be all you need… but… you don't want to test it at all? I would rather be safe than take a risk, but it's whatever you feel comfortable with.
