Hi,

My methods will involve using anti-histamines. I'm not using them to OD, just to knock me out.

Could anyone who regularly takes large doses for insomnia tell me how much I would need to take to knock me out cold in under 30 minutes.

Ideally, I would want a dose that would put me in a very deep sleep while my method takes effect.

Thanks

I'm not sure anyone with insomnia uses antihistamines, I could be wrong but more likely they're using Ambien or something like that, but if they are it's not likely in high doses, again, I could be wrong.
I'm replying as I've od'd on antihistamines twice and I've always used them for allergies. Even now, I only take a portion of one pill and it makes me drowsy.
Depending on your method, even with an OTC sleep aid in high enough dosage to put you out but low enough it doesn't make you throw up, your SI could wake you. Only with a strong narcotic, of which I'm unfamiliar, could one be more sure of not waking up due to SI.

I took 50 mg twice because of massive insomnia and didn't notice anything and then I took 100 mg once and got restless legs from it, I didn't get tired at all... Btw, I'm not used to anything.
Higher doses from 200/ 300 mg are not recommended, because then you can get hallucinations, where you see black spiders etc.....
For knocking out benzos or z- drugs Are more suitable. But I have no experience with them.

Unfortunately, benzos and z - drugs are all prescription only.

Definitely don't take too many. I tried that once and I saw bugs crawling under my skin for hours. Not fun, probably try something else.

FYI, anti-histamines are incredibly unpredictable deliriants. You haven't told us if its Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) or another one, so I can't tell you the OD dose unless you've already searched it up.

Don't risk it, just get some melatonin if that works for you. Only use anti-histamines if you aren't on antipsych's or SSRI's and you are sure you've calculated the dosage to make you sleep given your weight.

Are you planning on drowning? Because that is one of my methods too but I don't think OTC antihistamines alone would be enough to knock you out enough that you don't wake up when drowning, don't quite me though

Cold water is one of the best ways to wake someone up, so I agree that taking doxy or other anti-histamines would not be enough to keep you under.

I actually plan to use the plastic bag method in combination with these drugs. It has a higher chance of success than drowning, and is a very effective method with stronger drugs.
