I guess I didn't really know this was a thing. I've got notifications that someone was now following me, but I assumed it was a private thing.

I guess I don't really like the idea of the number of followers being public, but I guess it has some merit. I know the post counts and reaction scores give me a sense of how involved someone has been in the community, and that can often be helpful information.
