I want my hanging to be the least gross so the least I can do is not eat so how long should I not eat before hanging myself?

If you're worried about vomiting, food is completely out of your stomach within 6-12 hours.

Assuming normal gastric health, it takes 24 to 72 hours for food to completely pass through your digestive tract depending on your body's rate of gastric emptying, what food you ate, etc. So roughly three days of fasting to not defecate yourself. You will still urinate, which I would consider more gross in the aftermath

why do you think urine is more gross it mainly is just water anyway? Also thanks for the info

Urine will soak through clothes and end up on the floor or ground. If you hang inside, someone will have to clean it up & someone may touch it if they try to bring you down. Fecal matter is mostly contained by clothes & would only be a problem for hospital staff if you're found alive or the coroner if not. Fecal matter is less pleasant when dealing with the actual body, but I think urine leaves more of a mess at the scene

Not if you lay the ground out with a tarp thats a more easy clean up

Yeah fair. There are ways to mitigate it. I've just had jobs where I've had to do various biohazard clean ups, and I really hate cleaning up piss lol

I'm not a professional. But I would presume, because of the pressure, everything comes out? I don't think it's possible to avoid it. Everything comes out after death
