Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I am quite explicit when I am describing my life. I think there could be maybe 5 people that were able identify me (who don't already know it.)
Though, these people had to find exactly certain threads. And even if they found it out I think they could not blackmail me.

I consider it very very unlikely someone from real life would identify me. Under 1%. The time frame also had to fit. Due to the fact many people forget events. And I think most people don't know what is going on in my head.

In my country this forum isn't well known. No big media outlet mentioned the name thus far. Maybe this makes me feel a little bit too safe. I know one extremely small outlet that reported about the forum.
3 friends of mine know the name of the forum. And they are not against it. I told some therapists that I visit a suicide forum. The reactions were heterogenous.

If I lived in UK or US maybe I would be more paranoid. Most of my family members cannot even understand English.

What about you?

I have no social media, exist solely on forums with no photos of myself. I have no ties to anyone "important" and I live as simple and as tech free of a personal life as I can. I (unfortunately) work in a tech heavy field, but I work from home and that makes it easier to go unnoticed by anyone at all for days.

So, no I really don't think anyone could identify me, unless for some reason they were determined enough to dox me lol

I couldn't care less about someone identifying me from this forum. I lived all my life as a ghost, unnoticed and unremembered by 99% of the people I've ever met. Nobody would bother reporting me anyway even if someone did identify me.

Easily. I keep talking about my dead ex. But I don't really give a fuck. It's not like I mean a lot of shit to any of them.

Very unlikely. I have no real life friends, and I am either isolated from family, or have gone no contact with them.

Basically nonexistent. My personal life is unknown to everyone. Even with all the precise details I've revealed here, no one would recognize.

nobody from real life, my discord mates and ex might be able to but I don't think any of them would be on here or go out of their way to search for me

If they found my specific account, then I think they would know it's me as I've made some quite specific posts about my experience. But honestly, it doesn't matter to me. Even if my medical professionals found this account and read everything, they won't do anything about it anyways. They would just judge me, but then just say that it's my choice.

Let's look at this statistically. The main page says that there are a little over 61,000 members here. How many of them are active members vs people who no longer log in:
- Perhaps they CTB
- Perhaps they were thinking about doing it, were on here for a while, their life got better, and they checked out
- Signed up out of curiosity

I think the number of people who log on regularly at any given slice of time are more than likely several hundred. An admin probably has a way of running stats on this. Now, think of the number of people in the world vs the number of people in your inner circle. I'm not talking about the lady who cuts your hair or the people in your company who you only talk to once in a while for business purposes. I mean people who know you well and know your speech patterns. You said in your post 5 people.

I would say the odds of any of those people seeing your posts here and guessing it's you are one in a million if that. If that happened to me I'd do three things:
1. Get upset
2. Freak out
3. Buy a lottery ticket

I don't think you have anything to worry about
