How hard is it to keep pushing your body down for partial hanging?

I have been so close to doing it for a while and if you handed me a gun I would not hesitate but the gun laws in my state are too strict and i have no money so I have been forced to resort to partial hanging.

The one thing that has been holding me back is worrying that i will be ready to go and have everything prepared but then fail in the middle. I want to make sure I can keep trying until I at least pass out.

So, how hard is it to keep yourself down? How much effort does it take?

There are a few videos on this site and it seems like when successful they don't do much at all. But from what everyone says it's very tricky to pass out, then not have the body fight to survive. Idk doesn't really seem possible in a way. But it is.
