How does Nembutal feel? speculation and personal experiences welcome

So we all know Nembutal has the reputation as the ultimate peaceful exit but due to its efficacy in killing it's hard to get any anecdotes on how those minutes really are before you black out.... in this anecdote https://www.quora.com/What-is-it-like-to-survive-a-Nembutal-overdose he describes a "crushing" feeling which hardly sounds palatable.... what do you guys think? anyone with experiences with the drug or just have a view on what they'd expect? is Nembutal really the peaceful pill it's hyped as?

Obviously I haven't tried it, but I've tried various sedatives. I'd say that taking N orally would be a lot different and slower relatively. IV N would most likely feel like going under anesthesia, very fast and peaceful. If you drank a bottle, I'd expect there could be 30-60 seconds where you may be uncomfortable but you'd be so out of it you probably wouldn't notice. Barbiturates are said to be very euphoric so if you're lucky you may get a few moments of bliss before you pass. This is all speculation. Heavy doses of benzos feel very lucid to me, whereas with barbs you'd likely be super out of it.

I think it's still worth discussing because even if it is only 2-5 mins before orbit that can seem an eternity if it turns out to be a bad experience and also it'd be nice to get some solid kind of resource going that people can reference to challenge or support exit internationals consensus.

Yeah, N gas wasn't as peaceful as I thought for me personally. Maybe each person is different. I see PPH rates peacefulness where it's at so maybe they know without openly stating. Think there are a lot of assumptions on what each method is like. Maybe N is same.

For me I think the anxiety after consuming a lethal dose of something would be the worst part. A massive dose of a sedative like N would probably completely eliminate this very quickly. I think this is probably the reason it's considered the most peaceful option, even if there are some sensations like dizziness.

If I remember right, they cut the scene so we don't know when he passed. I'm sure it's peaceful but I would expect the link I posted earlier is probably what to expect.

I don't think N is euphoric. H intravenous OD would be nice for most peaceful passing but there are problems with it. I personally would rather go with H but N is basically guaranteed.

To me, the stomach making such hard contractions before passing just means it's not euphoric. those that seem to have most peaceful passing seem to be calmest.

I've tried some of my N in a extremely small amount to see the effects and drowsiness, it tasted absolutely horrible and the feeling of sedation was overpowering, and I'm someone with a high tolerance for these kind of substances that interact with GABA, like alcohol, benzos and many others.

If I were to compare to one of those substances, I'd say that it was as euphoric and sedating as a high dose of alprazolam, but with a heavy feeling on the body, definitely not unpleasant. Maybe the person who survived 6 g of N and described it that way just was not used to that effect, or it was someone with a natural tolerance to barbiturates , I can relate if it's the latter, since I have a bit of a natural resistance to opioids and rarely get high on them, I only get nausea and dizziness and almost none of the euphoria.

However, even if it was as unpleassant as people describe it, I would still take it over any other method, even F and H, and specially over SN which takes more than 20 min to finish you off.

yeah i do agree with you and am sure half of it is pro lifers lying or whatever, there's one of some donut giving an account of nembutal where he drinks bits here n there passes out, comes back, drinks more passes out etc then uses it as an example for why you shouldnt do nembutal lmao

Not commenting on the source, but it's veterinary, euthanasia grade, actually.

It was definitely not unpleasant, at least not in the small dose that I took. however, I really needed to make a conscious effort to remain awake and open my eyes, that goes to show the strength of the substance, since not even high doses of benzos or pregabalin help me sleep.

I took J's N from China for ages to get to sleep (only a small amount each night) because I had a really early shift at work so took it at 8.30 pm so I could get 8 hours sleep to get up at 4.30 am. It knocks you out pretty quick but no grogginess in the morning. The very first time I did a test and it felt like being drunk, I was very groggy the next day probably because it was the very first time I'd ever taken it. Little did I know long term use (about 4 months) can lead to psychosis which I'd never had before and I had a full blown episode and ended up in a psychiatric hospital but as an informal patient and discharged a week later. Then I developed a serious depression and ended up trying to kill myself with it, I took a much larger amount and was knocked immediately, not that I remember it. I was found and ended up on a ventilator in icu. God I felt terrible, dizzy, double vision, could barely stand. I threw up some, I don't know how much before I was found so don't know if that caused me to fail but I was devastated when I woke up that I was still alive. I did recover really quickly and was allowed home 2 days later. I still felt terrible though and also developed insomnia maybe because I'd become reliant on it for sleep and I'm still battling insomnia now. Hoping to get some more from A because my life is still shit and J doesn't do business anymore but I don't know how long A's takes to get to UK, anyone know?
Oh yeah and it tastes disgusting, that's basically the worst part of taking it. I just had to down it in one when I overdosed.

The crushing feeling described on quora is bullshit, as is much of the information there. Barbiturates were prescribed like candy in the mid 20th century, and thiopental was a commonly used anesthesia induction agent through the 90s.

the feeling of a massive overdose of barbiturates is very similar to a slow injection of any strong sedative, such as propofol. It's not painful in the slightest. A video of someone unconscious after taking it is meaningless. From the time people drink N and start to feel "something," they are ususually unconscious in around a minute.

During this time, they are rapidly sedated and will become confused, similar to if you were awoken during a very deep sleep.

Also J's powder. I don't know how much i took. Much too small amount to be lethal - and yet it almost was, maybe 250 mg., max 550 mg (.55 grams). It was in a capsule or capsules. i don't know if i took one or two. Standard sleeping pill dose used to be 100mg maybe 200. I was totally unused to it and i also had a small amount of alcohol and a small benzo. Out like a log. But then i got up in the AM to go to the bathroom and when i stood up i blacked out and fell badly, face planted.

Judging by that a proper amount should permanently KO me no problem, and there's no bad taste problem when encapsulated, tho I've tasted it before and didn't think it was so bad, not much worse than crushed aspirin. The odor is extremely acrid though.

Is there a current source for legit powder? Unfortunately whoever or whatever it was selling legit n powder from China for years under the name Johnson - and before that there were other legit Chinese sellers - took a powder himself, as they say.

By the way, the n powder is very stable. Lasts for years and withstands temperature extremes.

Peaceful the entire time, no jerky movements defecation or anything (not that I really would've cared, after death reactions don't bother me).
