Since the self is an illusion, it naturally follows that free will too.
We are just a bunch of causes and conditions coming together.
In a certain way realizing this and experiencing it directly by meditation or psychedelics frees you from expectations, blame, and all of the other shit.
The "I" is just a psychological construct, a very illusory one. It is a very imprecise story that people create about themselves to justify agency, winning, losing, and all of the other shit. We are interdependent, as some monk would say, there is no space for independents beings here. As so, the multitude of causes of conditions that interfere in a person's life are very vast. Judgments about the situation of somebody speak more about the person doing the judgment, as the psyche has a natural tendency to project its own non-recognized tendencies.
