There are skills I want to learn (currently 3D modeling, texturing and animation), and I know that I should take some time every day to learn them, even if it's just 10 minutes, bit by bit.
I just for some reason can't get myself to actually commit to learning those things. I know I should make a schedule or dedicate a specific time where I practice/learn those things and make a routine out of it but I just end up procrastinating all day. I feel stuck and I'm not sure what to do, especially as I think I know how to fix my situation but something in me is preventing me to do all that. I'm not sure what it is, probably linked to my depression and the fact that my brain always goes for the easier dopamine (games, content) instead of going out of my comfort zone to learn something new. I genuinely want to learn those things and often find myself dreaming about making virtual environments etc. so I'm not sure if it's about motivation, fear of failure, being overwhelmed or something completely different or everything all at once.
How do you deal with procrastination? What has worked for you? Have you been in a similiar situation before and if you've managed to break out of it, how?
