I had someone do a courtesy call on me when I "sounded" suicidal. It was when I had a (now ex) gf of mine cheat on me. Not only that, she made me feel absolutely worthless by the things she told me during her little affair. My mom ended up blocking me on Facebook as she was sick of my shit, though.

I don't have the mental fortitude in me to go through a messy divorce. Suicide is much easier than a divorce, and cheaper too!

I'm not entirely sure of their initial reaction as I was in a coma for afew days but I know they were confused and worried and I think my dad was annoyed.
They've never understood why I did it my mum still sometimes asks me why but apparently telling her "i just don't want to be alive" isn't a good enough reason.

They'd panic and probably send me to the hospital. Then they'd get angry, emotional, and make it about themselves. Probably ask why I did it but wouldn't understand when I explained. Or just go completely cold, which happened last time.
