NY Times article while searching methods. The article was so long I thought they didn't mention the name of the site, but then a few minutes later I found an interview with the writers of the article and there was a question about the fact that they had mentioned the site so I had to go back and read the thing all over again to find out the name

i googled "pro suicide forum" cuz i couldnt find any methods and found a quora answer that made me find a Wikipedia article for this

Curious, cause the first time I heard of it was in a YouTube video about a member here that they knew passing and basically demonising the site and the users and blaming them for their death. They'd changed the name, but I managed to find clues since they didn't change the first two letters lol. Found it from a few articles and finally a twitter post but I had to search with duckduckgo and work around it to actually get this site to work for me.

I'm ashamed to say this, but I found it through tentacruels very misinformation filled video on this site.

I think it was a youtube video of a guy who said this site encouraged people to do die and stuff. I don't blame the guy for thinking the way he did but he ignored many things about the site.

Googled suicide methods, found an article demonizing the site but not mentioning it by name, saw a comment mentioning SN, searched it up, and then the Wikipedia article for SN linked to the article for this site. Going from the Wikipedia article to the the site was kinda tricky because the article never actually linked here, but the file info for the article's main image contained the site's URL. Felt pretty clever for that.

I just checked the Wikipedia article and it seems like it's been edited such that my way of finding the site doesn't work today. The article's main image used to be a screenshot of the site, but now it's just a logo and its file info doesn't contain a link.

Last step.

I stumbled and just fell down with the weight of what would be coming. Originally was looking to see how others might have dealt with soul crushing sorrow. Didnt take long and I was pathing suicide methods. There is alot of, plastic?, out there. Reading doesnt take me long to find real pain, in some odd way it seemed like you had to have it to see it. There was an in depth post on an inert gas attempt, the thread was genuine, was my first look at SaSu, then I found the boards and just stopped dumbfounded, page after page of full range loss, frustration, apathy, and emotion. There were brilliant minds, quiet ones, sarcastic, humor, love, and no one was hiding, no masking what they shared.

IF there was going to be any saving grace to where I was at, it would be found here. I could scoff at therapy, doubt intentions, be wary of all I met, but not here, not these people. Im aware there are some here that are not genuine, and some that are predators…I can not imagine any different as the feelings here are real and give credence to the depth of a human soul. It is my opinion the moderators here due an outstanding job of finding those folks and offer a quick exit through lifes brightest door for them to live elsewhere, so have to say hats off to SaSu staff effort.

Pulling on that dark thread of predators, I'll just pull a lighter out for that irish penance, as Im working on my humility. Tough road at times but I know the last step will be here soon enough.

a close friend of mine documented her suicide on the r/SanctionedSuicide subreddit back when that was a thing, i was at a fairly low point in life myself so i stuck around - i was 14 at the time, i'm now in my 20s, i'll be gone before 30.

I was searching for methods and specifically a poison that would quickly kill and searching "suicide poison" landed me on the BBC article on SN. I then googled "suicide forum" which lead me to the wikipedia article on SaSu and then finally sasu.

i believe i heard about this site a few years ago, forgot about its existence for a while, then the name suddenly sprung to my mind again so i signed up.
