I thought it was full hanging, but someone said partial? With belt? Tied us where? I always imagine people magically ganging from the ceiling... Would light fixtures or fans be solid enough? Doubtful.

After calling for help all day & be humiliated endlessly ... I learned a slipknot & tested it in the shower. I have a huge vertical metal tube to slide the shower lower. I chickened out.

At first I choked & blood accumulated in my head. Then I turned the knot on my neck. It's weird because I could breathe comfy but I almost slipped asleep. That's when SI kicked in. Is it possible to hand myself correctly while still be able to breathe? Did I successfuly cut blood flow? I thought I had to choke for air to succeed that. I didn't even feel huge pressure in my head. Did I almost fall asleep because I was just tired? Or hanging doesn't have to be chocking fir air with a brain about to explode. I can't bear the pressure in my head .. but I don't want to fail... Is being able to breathe a big fail? Tips? Thanks.

Nope, a light fixture will not be strong enough unless it's been specifically made to hang a heavy weight which most aren't.

In the ideal world I think with partial you're supposed to pass out before you start to struggle from not being able to breath, but it has to hit the sweet spots on your neck for that to work. I've seen a lot of posts where people say they feel like their head is going to explode too, it's not an easy method for many

I think I read that pressure in the head means we do it wrong. Is being able to breathe but slowly passing out a bad sign of failure? I wish I had videos

I don't think breathing is a problem but passing out slowly might be. Even if unconsciousness is attained, when the body starts to fight, the heart might be able to overcome the obstacle

It was so shocking to hear of Robin Williams' death but I am grateful he is spared the awful symptoms of Lewy body disease.

Honestly, I can't get my head round how he was able to do it. Yes, I believe it was partial hanging using a belt from a doorframe- a Google search will come up with the details. I believe he was in a seated position when found. I just don't understand how he fought the will to stand up and stop it. I don't know how quickly you pass out with this method. Just seems like it would have taken an iron will to do it.

RIP Robin Williams. Heaven (if there is such a place) got a whole lot funnier that day.

I learned on goobtube how to tie a noose and still have it. Researched best drop footage, 8 feet. I've just chosen SN instead.
I don't get the slow hang.

Another method like SN or CO or jumping?
How do I get sn, how to use CO without a car, tempted to jump but pissed scared of height. I think it's the only thing that could kill me, my body knows it. But I'd feel helpless if I regret half way. And I bet I'm one of the people who'd survive falling off a plane...

Someone told me he jumped off his balcony with a rope, broke his jaw, screamed, got rescued. I fear to break my neck & be paralyzed. Is there still a risk with partial?

Why that? Is that because the vene instead of artery is blocked?
