I was devastated without this Sanctioned Suicide website . This is the onLy place where i have found truth,knowledge and validation of my thoughts that i can't discuss anywhere else (like talk about suicide , death, life, suicide methods).. Everywhere else people talk about superficial, ridiculous topics that mean nothing that have nothing to do with reality the reality that many of us are facing like for example how bad or hard life and this world can really get and what you can do about it. Can't believe others want to take away this valuable resource to many of us. Reffering to those that want to ban websites like this : Why don't they just mind their own business?. I thought they had banned it. I was sooo angry and just devastated ,sad.

I just got accepted to the forum and found it down when I tried to login. I was frustrated and concerned that the valuable resources of the site might become unaccesible, and that I would have to continue 'going it alone' without a community to reference and share with.

Very glad to see things are functioning again. It also gave me a valuable lesson in saving and downloading information that may not be available later, and checking I have as much security as possible while browsing.

We have a hard enough time disguising our difficulties in life from people around us we cannot trust to understand. A community such as this is invaluable and incredibly brave. I hope it remains indefinitely.

I was pissed. I was even more worried for those who rely on it. I kept checking for like 2 days, and I was just extremely pissed. There are so many websites out there that are horrible like revenge porn, gossip, slander etc with the most horrific things written, but they all get to stay up because of "free speech", even though those websites actively cause suicidal thoughts! There are just so many other disgusting websites.

I saw that petition. That woman is destroying more lives than she's helping. I also found a prolife suicidal forum, looked like it was targeted to depressed teenagers, that wasn't helpful I got offended at a response that was given to someone pouring out their darkest secrets about child sexual abuse. I hate fake spaces, where you're not allowed to be negative and speak your mind. I guess that's why this place scares people, it pops their fake bubbles.

I am really annoyed by the constant shutdowns, I know it's not the creators fault, I know they're doing everything they can to keep this place up. I wish we could have an alternative meeting place when this happens, just so we don't feel so lost. I'm not sure where though, but obviously it can't have methods posted publicly, would have to be PM only for that... and not on Facebook where people's real names are.

I was doing some digging looking for other forums and I came across a change.org petition to take us down and the comments are so I can't think of the word but they're annoyingly stupid and so idiotic of them to judge

i doubt it was that, it doesn't have enough signatures to be actioned anyway, the site went down for a time in January too so i assume it's routine

Being isolated from a frank and open community such as this is a reason people's quality of life can become so poor that they harm themselves.

Who do we have to turn to if this is the only place we feel safe sharing our inmost thoughts and you remove it? There are many reasons people feel unable to communicate outwith a platform such as this, and they should be respected.

I saw that petition, it's about a mom who lose her daughter after she come to this website. She said is the website fault if her daughter ctb. But at no time does she question herself about her personal responsibility on the lost of her daughter.
I hate people like that, it's like "It's not my fault if I not helped her before it was too late, it's the fault of the other to helped her !" ... stupid humanity.

I have known a similar situation 15yrs ago, a classmate ended his life because of his parent, he hated them because his parents were psycho.
After the event, all the parents discussed together and find that was because he played too much at video games, so all parents banned their children for playing video games.
But in the class we knew that the games were only a way out of this hell for him, he played that much because he wanted to leave the real world for some hour.

It was his parents fault, not the video games, and maybe our fault too to not helped him as he needed at the moment. But his parent never admit the truth and always blame the others for that.

So for parents : it's not the website or any other exterior factors fault, it's YOUR fault to not help your children when they needed it. They need to be supported, encouraged, advised, and not judged for every single thing that you don't like on them. They are them, you are you, they don't see the world like you want to and you have to accept it.

note : I know it's not that simple, but I'm still very angry against the parents of my old classmate to never admit that was their fault when every teens of the village said them the truth.
