How come the chatrooms are more active than the threads?

The chatrooms on other forums (that is also owned by mr marquis or master as you know him) are dead af and most people communicate via threads on there or use threads more meanwhile threads here are dead as shit why is that?

If I were to guess, probably because the community shifted more to just chat stuff rather than a ton of forum posting. There's still quite a bit of forum posts though.
