Been trying to set up my suicide as an 'accident' to people who know me outside of close family and 1 friend. I'll leave a bunch of documents and instructions for them to keep it a secret and say it was a car accident or something. Obviously there's no guarantee they'll follow through but it gives me some peace of mind to try.

One roadblock in this whole plan is that I share my location to 10+ of my college friends, some of which are looking at it a bunch when they want to hang out with me. They notice when I turn it off for extended periods of time, and would probably notice that my location happened to be at a random hotel the day I died. I think they could put two and two together eventually and figure out that I killed myself. Preferably I'd want to freeze my location on some busy highway the day of my ctb to make it seem like my phone got destroyed in some car wreck. The only problem is how to do that while being able to use my phone to, yknow, navigate. Turning off 'share my location' turns it off completely, which I guess could happen if the phone got destroyed, but I'd worry about friends picking up on some clues there.

Well there's my schpiel, definitely let me know any of your thoughts on this. Any feedback is welcome 🙏

Not easy to do, you stop sharing but anyone you did share with can see you are not sharing rather than off the grid.

Flight mode freezes you at the point you switch it off but you can't then navigate.

Any chance you can get a burner phone for nav? You can then leave your iPhone ensconced in a secure location, happily beaming to everyone where it is.

I have thought of this, jamming my phone between the seats of a train to Scotland while I head off in the opposite direction.

If I could, I would want to keep my phone with me as I die (for the ctb playlist  ) but that's definitely an option.

I thought about trying to use an old iPhone logged into my iCloud to swap locations to that phone, then tossing it on the highway. Then I could use my own phone to get where I need to go and do the deed. Only problem could be that it wouldn't have a sim, so it might not share location past where WiFi is. Maybe a hotspot could help that.
