You become the monster of consumption and are okay with undercutting others for the sake of your life and happiness, or stay suicidal. Social climbing requires a ruthlessness that really doesn't match well with self found thoughts of suicide.

I feel the same way. It's so frustrating. We're all just doing nothing a letting this monsters control us all. The way we're destroying the planet just to consume consume consume. And the world is becoming impossible to survive in except the ultra wealthy. The truth of what we're actually living in coming out has made the hopelessness so much worse

I understand, I'd just never wish for something as torturous and dreadful as existence that just causes all this cruelty, harm and torture with no limit as to how much agony one can feel, all that existence ever does is just torture existing beings.

I'll just always see it as an abomination to suffer in this horrific world, it's just so terrible and cruel how this existence was even imposed at all, to me existence will just always be a mistake and I'd just never wish to be conscious of any of this at all. As a species, we've bypassed natural selection too. We use IVF to ensure people can have children. We plough money into supporting the disabled and ill. Not that I'm a fan of eugenics or anything but- we pretty much allow hereditary illnesses to pass down.

If anything- aren't we governed more by social and cultural selection? Those who can afford to have children or, those expected to by social norms. I'm not so sure nature has much to do with it anymore. Sickly children aren't picked off by lions in the modern world. They are given extra support.

Plus- if 'nature' should hit back- with a pandemic say- we're sneaky and create vaccines to kill it. We do all we can to avoid succumbing to being 'natural' in many ways.

It's natural selection. I've never said about anything about being good. Natural selection is peak selfishness on wether you want to help increase the numbers of a population to increase your wealth or to create thousands of possibilities into existence so that you get a hyper prodigy genius that can solve your own problems or to eradicate a certain type of animal or human into extinction. The selfishness of helping other people out happens because some of us get off the on the dopamine of helping others or just have a savor complex (you really can't know). Or the selfishness of humans killing a animal species until extinction or another group of humans. After all basics physics tell us is that we are just a bunch of chemicals together. If you ever seen a true makeup of the human body within chemistry class and with psychology a lot of us are motivated by dopamine. Pro lifers think they are saving childrens lives and not wanting to deal with the consequences if those parents are not able to take care of another human being. And nature could hit us with a vaccine although the most likely outcome is mother nature fighting back for the pollution or a massive geological event etc (maybe it won't happen until 2100, who knows?) If you want to debate of the social and political side I'm up for it
