I'm trying to find a hotel to ctb in. Doing some searching around, it looks like sometimes the cost of turn over/cleaning/repairing the hotel room could be charged to me (some cases seem extreme like tearing down drywall due to the smell), leading to there being less in my will for my family. Does anyone have any industry knowledge of this? I am wondering which chains would be better. I'm in the USA and will be in California, likely. I ideally would like to find something with a decent view, since it's the last thing I'll see, but I suppose that isn't strictly required. I have ordered a body bag and plan to be inside it on the floor when I drink my N. The body bag has handles and I will zip it mostly up. Hopefully this will make it easier for the people who have to deal with my body. I also plan to leave an envelope with some cash and a note for the hotel staff, so they can take it as a small payment for having to deal with my sorry ass.
I want to leave a few days of buffer time to make sure I'm actually dead after I drink the N. It seems that coma is possible for a time. I am thinking to have a buffer of 3-5 days. I don't mind paying for extra days, but I want to minimize the smell that will permeate into the hotel room and cause trouble for the people there.
Ideally I would ctb in my own house (which I own and live alone in), but I don't want my family who will inherit the house to either associate my death with a spot in the house in the case that they decide to move in. And if they decide to sell, I don't want the value of the house to be decreased due to a suicide death inside the house.
