Is there a way to make sure in the event I'm hospitalized that the financial responsibilites couldnt fall on my family? Even if they wanted to? I'm not a minor but I'm basically broke and I know that all of the little bit of money I have would go straight out the window if I fail an attempt and end up hospitalized. Is there a way I could guarantee that financially my family wouldnt/couldnt be responsible? Like some sort of legal loophole or something

I didnt think so either. I just hate that I have to worry about the possibility of failing. I need to narrow down a method and make sure I'm successful because I don't want to burden the few family members I have left. But then theres also funeral costs I guess. Theres gotta be a way I can I can close my bank account and leave the money so I can pay for some of it myself

If you're not living with them and you refused to name them as your next of kin, wouldn't doing so be like billing a stranger? As an adult, they should have no duty to provide for you financially or otherwise.
But you should really ask someone familiar with the system in your neck of the woods.

Oh but thats the problem. I do live with one of them. Even if traveled to CTB would they not be informed? Or is this only information I'd have to provide? Would I be able to avoid having them find out and be financially responsible?

Sorry. I don't live in the same country, let alone the same state.
There must be a way to find out the procedure in such circumstances.
Good luck.
