I know about bleach and ammonia. I have looked it up in chatgpt:
What happens when you mix bleach (sodium hypochlorite) and ammonia?

They react chemically and release toxic gases, mainly chloramines (monochloramine, dichloramine, and trichloramine) and sometimes chlorine gas.

These gases are highly irritating and poisonous:

  • Immediate effects: Intense irritation to eyes, nose, throat, and lungs, coughing, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, and headache.
  • Severe exposure: Can cause pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs), serious respiratory damage, and even death.

When is it most dangerous?

  • In closed or poorly ventilated spaces (bathrooms, kitchens with windows closed).
  • Using high concentrations of either product.
  • Mixing large amounts.

It's fairly easy and not hard to find out how to do it but not recommended, it's an agonising way to go out. Look up the guy on 4chan's /k/ board who tested his gas mask by mixing up gas. Guy made chlorine gas, not realising how it works, and it melted his skin off.

Although there are lots of known toxic gases, only a few of them are able to produce rapid loss of consciousness and death without causing too much discomfort. The more or less suitable for CTB are: CO, CO₂, H₂S, HCN, and maybe also PH₃ and COS. When used, most of them are dangerous for the first responders and therefore should be handled responsibly.

Cl₂, NH₃, NH₂Cl aren't good for CTB, unless you want to torture yourself to death.
