i know a lot of people here have said that beta blockers is a terrible method for ctb. But here's the thing. I have been proton mailing someone from another forum who actually assisted someone in their ctb and this was the method. It was peaceful, not so quick, took about 24 hours from beginning to final exit.

The logic from the doctor helping these people that propranolol (NOT paracetamol) was easier to obtain than TCA antidepressants. And the overdoses are similar and the exit is similar if managed properly.

It turned out to be true.

Here is the method. You will notice it is exactly the same from the PPeH August Editon for TCA antidepressants except the TCA antidepressant in this case is substituted with the beta blocker.

60 mg of metoclopramide with water

Wait 40 minutes

Take 10 g of Propranolol with water. Do not crush or chew or try to dissolve in the water. They must be swallowed whole.

Take anywhere from 30 mg to 40 mg of a benzodiazepine like lorazepam.

Then drink about 250-375 ml of a spirit like whiskey. Do not drink it fast but enjoy it leisurely.

Unconsciousness will set in about an hour

It takes about 23 hours after this for the person to finally exit.

It worked and this doctor is also using this method on a host of other people.

Pretty interesting stuff. How easy exactly is it to get that stuff? I know it's pretty hard to get amitriptyline unless you have fibro or something. Trying to get 7g of it illegally turned out pretty expensive.

There are a good few things you can od honestly if you have a high enough dose + anti emetics + benzos to sleep through the pain.

Where I live it is prescribed "off-label" a lot for social anxiety. So all I did was go to several different walk in clinics and said I had serious social anxiety issues (speaking in front of crowds, being in social settings with a lot of people etc. etc. ) and I asked for it by name and it was given to me. I paid out of pocket even though I have insurance because if I pay for it with my insurance I could only get one prescription at a time. Paying out of pocket made it easier because each walk in clinic does not keep track of one another plus as long as you get it filled at different pharmacies they won't know you already filled a whole bunch of them before somewhere else. I don't know where you live but that is how you get it quickly here. Plus it didn't even cost me that much even though I paid out of pocket. Honestly with the anti emetic, the Propranolol and the benzos it cost me less than 100 bucks in my currency. That is all out of pocket by the way. If I used my insurance it would have cost me half that at least. The booze is extra depending what you want. It's not a controlled drug here like benzos and opioids are. Those are harder to get with or without insurance.

You are right with a little ingenuity and creativity you can find a way to od peacefully if you hit a brick wall like I did and can't get sn, n, TCA antidepressants, chloroquine, fentanyl and all the rest mentioned in the PPeH August Edition.

Like you said all you need is a big enough dose of the main lethal drug, anti emetics plus some benzos and booze to help you sleep through the pain.

I know of 5 cases where this worked already. Another 3 happening this weekend. Will let you know how that goes and 3 more next week including me. So if you don't hear from me after next week ever again then this method worked on me too.

So you're in contact with a real doctor? Do you know what his opinion on a TCA method is? Does he have any advice/caveats that haven't been covered by other sources?

His view is that TCAs are effective as long as you have the fatal amount and are taken in the above mentioned protocol. Of course taking out the propranolol and replacing it with TCA. The real issue is getting that fatal dose. His says people in various countries either have a hard time getting them at all OR getting enough to ctb. That is why the substitution method with Propranolol was suggested. Propranolol and TCA overdoses present similar symptoms and effect similar body vitals.

I've been prescribed both propranolol and amitriptiline without any issue. That said it was for legit medical reasons, chronic pain and anxiety. Would be hard to acquire lethal amounts of either legitimately, unless you stockpiled for a long long time.

yep, I had this problem too. Your amitriptyline would probably expire unless you were on a high dose.
(Also benzo tolerance but w/e)

But if obtaining it and being interrupted aren't issues, propanolol should work fine.

A lot of the negative commentary about beta blockers is justified because not all beta blockers are equal, and not as toxic as propanolol, so you certainly would suffer.

Agreed. Propranolol is the most peaceful of the beta blockers if utilized with the protocol I mentioned above.

I got 10 g which is the dosage you need to use in the above mentioned protocol/method. I got this by going to 3 different walk in clinics and telling them I had social anxiety issues and I needed a prescription. I paid for it out of pocket so the insurance I have can't track it. And each walk in clinic doesn't track what the others do. Otherwise if you go to the same doctor, it would take awhile to get it.

24 hours to die? What are the symptoms people feel during?

When I tried overdosing on propranolol I was so ignorant I thought it would take me within an hour or 2. I'm glad i went to the hospital (wasn't too happy about psyche).

You are saying it will take 24 hours to die. There is high chance I believe that the person will come back to consciousness during this time and then suffer. I am a bit skeptical of it. Enlighten me.

And many of us do not get a home-alone window as big as 24 hours.
Interesting method though, at least theoretically.

So on 26th September User J F who posted this Propranolol cocktail method said:

"I know of 5 cases where this worked already. Another 3 happening this weekend. Will let you know how that goes and 3 more next week including me. So if you don't hear from me after next week ever again then this method worked on me too."

And they haven't posted since 1st October. It would appear that they followed through.
