I'm going through a somewhat delicate situation. In short, I study nursing (you have to pay for college) and I need a job, at the moment I'm working in a market for less than 1 month, I've had experience in markets before and I hated it. I want to leave there, but being unemployed is the end of the world for my parents and my fiancée. There is so much psychological and emotional pressure. I was thinking about giving them a scare, because I'm depressed, does anyone have any idea? Anything. My parents don't understand me, I don't like working late at night, I've been working hours like that for 7 years, and I can't take it anymore, it's very overwhelming. Anyway, please, if anyone has any advice or suggestions on what to do, I would appreciate it.

I may be misunderstanding you, but your depression sounds very situational and you want to reduce the pressure you're feeling from studying, working and meeting the expectations of your family and fiancée.

When you talk about giving them a shock, do you mean a 'failed attempt' ? (which I would never suggest as they can easily succeed and if you're not ready to CTB, then it maybe isn't the right choice for you).

Could you just tell them how you're feeling?

Can you take time off work sick? I appreciate you may not be able to afford that as an option.

Are there any other jobs you can do - higher pay, to reduce hours; better hours / not at night?

Can you delay your nursing study?

My parents don't understand, they say it's being "fresh". I really need to scare them, and if I try and get the CTB, consequences, then my parents will no longer have the rubbish daughter they have.
